It hurts to lose TJ. On the other hand, Jose was the better point guard. Ill never forget TJ's monster 5 game run in 05-06 against Portland-Seattle-Minnesota when he carried the team while Bosh was out. I'll miss him and certainly moniter Pacer games to see how he does.
Today we took a step toward competing with Boston-Orlando-Detroit. WE finally have a REAL CENTER!!! From Bradley-Mccoy-Mosio-Hoffa-Woods-Bargnani to Jermaine is an upgrade that cant even be calculated.
Didn't people say he was unhappy with playing the 5?

Good luck to both Rasho and TJ, hope they have success in Indiana and elsewhere they go, they helped establish a favourable culture in the Raptorland the past two seasons, and I appreciate their contributions, controversy aside.

Re: Yahoo: O
I'm f'n excited.
Jose/Roko
AP
Moon/Kapono
Bosh/Bargs/Hump
O'Neal/Bargs
We instantly go from having one of the softest frontcourts in the league to having one of the most feared. If Bargs steps up his play and averages say 15-6 off the bench, I think we should be in the top half of the conference regardless if we get that wing player or not. I know 3 bigs might not be enough in the long run, but who says BC is done dealing after this. My guess is he'll still try and acquire a solid rotation wing, and possibly another servicable big other than Hump, like a vet or something.

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

I wonder what happened to revive the trade and if BC caved with the pick. I hope we buy a pick in the 20's, ala Portland.

Pleeeeeeaaaasssseeeeee be Baston. I don't want to have Bargs as our only back-up big. If not Baston then hopefully Joey, I really want to keep Hump.

I think he probably told Larry Bird that he needs a new change in life and he is tired of living in Indiana...

I want 77 games, 19 points (because Bosh will still be the leading scorer at 22-23 a game) 11 rpg (what we NEED badly), 1.5 bpg, and a good 37-39 minutes a game.
Almost positive this isn't going to happen. He isn't going to get the number of shots he took in Indiana, and that might not be a bad thing considering his offensive efficiency.
Here is my bet:
14.5/8.5/1.5 on 47% shooting (from a smaller workload) in 33 minutes a game. With good defense.
Bryan will also have to GET IT THROUGH SAM'S HEAD that he can't ride Jermaine like he rode Bosh this past season. His body will simply break down.
+ a gazillion!
Sam will HAVE to ride JO hard cuz right at this moment, we don't have any other bigs besides the wildly inconsistent bargnani and humphries to back em up. None of them can play centre and none of them can be consistent.
I would be all for moving Kapono to the backup SG spot, play Moon at SF and if somehow we can land Charlie V for cheap, get him to play backup SF and PF. Something like this:
Jose (34) / Roko (14) / Vet PG
AP (28) / Kapono (14) / Roko (6)
Moon (28) / Kapono (8) / Charlie (12)
Bosh (34) / Charlie (14) / Hump
JO (30) / Bargnani (18) / Hump
Play Bargnani STRICTLY at Center and play him inside. Force him to play inside and if not, you always have Hump to step in. I agree that Defense will be a crapshoot with Charlie and Kapono on the floor, but charlie can rebound and play inside-out. Will be cheap as well.

If the 17th isn't included I would be happy and jumping for joy. If it was, I'd still be happy. Hopefully Hump isn't included as well.

Maybe they want to start rebuilding already, and don't want to deal with him anymore.

I'm thinking this makes Raptors among the elite in the East.. That's of course provided O'Neal doesn't become unhappy in T.O or has another injury etc..

Re: Yahoo: O
I don't like this trade at all and had this been proposed last year at this time most of you would have agreed. The need to get rid of Ford should not cloud the Raps judgement because we will be lucky to get 50-60 games out of Jermaine and with Bosh's questionable durability there is a strong chance that next season blows up in our faces and we are a lottery team. This seems like a deal Isiah Thomas would make. Jermaine has one bad wonky knee that's just gonna get worse and don't delude yourself because when you are that big and heavy and have had multiple problems with the same knee it slows you down considerably even when you are supposedly healthy.
This reminds me of the excitement when the 76ers got Webber. Much ado about a player who has clearly seen better days and is on a downward slope. We need some perimeter defence in the worst way and given the fragile health of O'Neal at this point he is not much of an upgrade over Rasho and will play less games. So basically we gave away Ford and the 17th pick for free. Seems like a desperation move by BC because there's nothing else he can do.

And it's Granger's team now. He's been shopped around for the past few seasons.
