Here is our schedule for the Tuto Marchand (all times eastern)

Sunday, 4:30 vs Argentina
Monday, 5:45 vs Brazil
Tuesday, 5:45 vs Dominican
Wednesday, 8:00 vs Puerto Rico

With 4 games in 4 days, good opportunity to get everyone some playing time, and to simulate what FIBAs will be like.

For those who have access, I think games will be on DirectTV and streamed here
http://www.livebasketball.tv/

I hope FIBA.com will have live boxscores.

My main wish for these tournaments is consistent officiating.
Is anybody here a marine biologist?

You and me both. I try not to be a homer but the officiating can get really dodgy in these tournaments. As frumble mentioned, I sure hope it doesn't come down to a FIBA Americas semi-final game against Mexico in Mexico City.

What do you guys think power rankings would be? Or at least rank the threats to Team Canada as you see them.

1. Canada - not sure we are a hands down favorite, but we have the best talent on paper. Despite the inexperience, we should realistically be a top 2 team. The depth could be a huge advantage here is Triano uses it properly.
2. Argentina - I still think they have enough fire power with Scola, Nocioni and Campazzo, so much experience. Not much depth.
3. Mexico - Seem to have their full strength. Home court and the most talent they have had in a long time - lots of U.S. born/raised players on this team.
4. Dominican Republic - missing some key guys, but still pretty good.
5. Puerto Rico - missing many key guys, horrible at the PanAms, best players are getting old. Rumors of internal strife?
6. Brazil - no motivation, weaker team than the Panams - no NBA guys. Using this as training experience for the younger guys.
7. Uruguay - playing well in the warm ups. Could be a dark horse -but missing a couple top players.
8. Venezuela - dont see much from them without Vasquez
9. Panama
10. Cuba

That sounds right on the mark. I don't know nearly enough about Uruguay, Venzuela, Panama or Cuba, but seems a reasonable bet that Panama and Cuba will be the two teams dropped after phase 1.

Will be very interesting to see what Canada's rotation is at Marchand.

E.g., will Scrubb or Hanlan be Joseph's primary backup?

Will we finally see Ejim at SF, or still only at PF?

Venezuela looked surprisingly competitive in his friendly vs Spain a few days ago. Wouldn't be shocked if they made it to the semifinals.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

Has anyone tried using this site for any other international games yet. Thinking of getting a membership, just wanted to make sure it worked well.

It's not exactly HD but works fine.
