Ive been seeing him get mentioned more and more.

Half hate him, half think he is one of the best options outside the top 5.

We will see what happens at the draft lottery tho

18 year 6'8 Shot creator with good vision and solid floor game.
He doesn't defend well and doesn't shoot it well. I would take him if we don't get into the top 4.

Giddey is not a shot creator, in fact he actually struggles to create his own shot.

The more I think about it, I want someone with elite skills in this draft, especially on the offensive end. If we are staying with FVV for the time being, then having someone like Giddey might be a good thing; let Giddy handle the ball, which frees up Fred and Pascal to get into their spots better. Kid has some wicked court vision. I am just waiting for him to go off and score like 25+ one night; but he is only 18 years old playing in an adult league.

Actually, dream scenario is to get top 3 and draft Mobley then trade Trent and Boucher (plus a future frp maybe) for Wisemen and the Minnesota pick. If it’s 5-7 we draft Keon and come out of the draft with Mobley and Keon.

The defensive potential of FVV/Keon/OG/Siakam/Mobley would be insane

I'm not sold on the defensive potential of Mobley. He's 7 feet tall...210 lbs. ESPN lists Chris Boucher at 6'9 200 lbs. Mobley's a stick. Guys like Embiid, Jokic and JV are going to feast on the kid.

I'm not saying he's not good...but he's going to be criticized just like Boucher...except the difference is that Mobley's expectations will be much greater since he'll be a lottery pick.

Chris Bosh was a stick when we drafted him and he turned out alright. Bosh bulked up probably TOO much in his later days trying to cover for Bargnani's useless ass on the boards, but he's more in the mold of a Bosh than he is an Embid in terms of size for sure.

No thanks. JV is a great center and someone I liked since we drafted but he does not play a game designed for this team at all. We need a strong defending C that has a respectable 3 pt shot to space the floor

I know this group is focused on the lottery to find the next Kawhi, but I recently found a new second round prospect which I hadn't come across before and he is one to watch climb onto the draft boards.

Santi Aldama is 6'11 and is a decently mobile center who can stretch the floor, rebound, and make some nice plays with the ball. He is going to be a great pro. Legit C with good mobility and touch. Can also shoot it from deep.

He was hidden on Loyola Marymount in the Patriot League, but he dominated there with 20 and 10 and about 2 assists and 2 blocks per game. Why I say he is hidden is because in Spain he is fairly well known. In an under 18 tournament he co-won MVP with Usman Garuba.

He is slow, Lopez speed from the highlight. 6'10 wingspan is not going to be enough at C.

We already have an elite skills in Flynn.
Giddey cannot defend against quicker players, so I doubt Nurse will play him at all. Just like Davis who can go off 24 points, but we opt to play someone with defense.

JV doesn't shoot many but I respect it more than Siakam's.

I swear someone will take Davion, Keon and either Giddey or Jalen Johnson ahead of Ayo. Then he can be drafted #11 like his number. Oh wow, Washington is in the #11 spot right now. What better place to job shadow triple doubles than the master himself??!?!!?

Who looked better pre draft
Edwards or Green?

I think Green is a better shooter and more fluid of the two. I'd give Edwards the nod as the more freakish athletically although both of them can absolutely jump out of the gym.

I kinda knew the answer but just wanted a 2nd opinion and to point out that if Green seems like the better prospect there's no way he should fall passed 2nd and could arguably be 1st based on how good Edward's has looked recently.

Although I will say I think Edward's size makes his transition to nba a lot easier

I like Green...but I also want to see a bit more versatility on offence. I saw a lot of 3s and drives/dunks. I need to see that in-between game develop as well. He also needs to learn NBA defence...

I don't picture Mobley as the guy you give the ball to when you need to win the game. That's how I prioritize a pick in the lottery...for the Raptors at least. I could see Cade, Jalen Green and even Jalen Suggs as that guy...and Mobley might be a nice #2 option and a shot blocking threat.
