Both Lavrinovic brothers are better offensively and Javtokas better defensively than JV in that position, so there's a reason for his shorter minutes on court.

Anyways, Teletovic was sick today! some shots he made were insane, wouldn't have been surprised at all if he made that last one as well.

You can tell he jizzed his pants after that ridiculous make by Teletovic

He always plays like that against Lithuanian teams. Not at least surprised, those are his regular shots for the most part. He is fun player to watch. Have no idea how baked he was when he airballed those 3 shots in a row...

Good point. Can't wait for training camp to start.

Jonas is going to come out of this experience with something to prove and prepare for, without being worn out. Additionally, the program has given him some food for thought for where to put in different lines of work. In the end, I'm pretty confident that it'll have been a win for his overall development. Plus, having a little ball to watch/analyze has been more than welcome at this point in the offseason.

People need to stop classifying JV as an all world basketball player. He is nowhere close. He needs like 2-3 more years of getting tossed around like a rag doll and getting experience, size and old man strength to dominate at this level.

Jonas has potential and he is a decent basketball player right now with flashes of very good, but he is nowhere near consistently great.

He played poorly in a 7 minute span so benched for the rest of the game... and they didn't even win? Brilliant coaching! Caseyesque in execution.

7 poor minutes, well.... time for the coach to show JV who calls the shots.

7 more minutes like this and I think Eurobasketball should be cancelled in Lithuania.

(I don't see much coaching, but I certainly see a massive ego)

Jonas was beyond terrible in that game, not the coaches fault. However the way that Lithuania played is completely coaches fault. I mean seriously, Lithuania was considered one of the favorites to win gold in EuroBasket this year? I don't see it. I'd consider it being a great achievement if they're able to get to the quarter finals.

We won't win it all that's for sure. If we somehow advance to semis and win bronze, that would be awesome.
There is no improvement in playing level at all, the schemes are too rigid, no improvisation from players. And we are weak psychologically as always has been the case.
It wouldn't surprise me one bit if we didn't advance to QFs.
On paper we might be one of top3-4 teams, but just don't perform.

JV was brutal this game. Still I think he should have played some more in 3rd/4th Qs, when the 3s were raining.

Ajinça has been simply amazing in this tournament. Nothing compared to his days in the NBA. He's not shying away from the paint like he was before. But he hasn't really had to face players of JV's calibre so far.

On the other hand, Petro has been absolute crap when he played.

Expect some Boris Diaw at center against LTU if Petro keeps being a non-factor.

Petro barely plays, but is not terrible when does.

Even with the Raps, Ajiinça looked like he had massive potential, just a little Bargnani-syndrome. Think he'll make his way back to the league or is he likely content in Europe?

Val isn't starting :).

That's a way to kill his confidence, but we will see how it goes.

And more starting lineup changes... players must go nuts not knowing their roles and minutes on this LT team.

Hey.. we all bitch that Demar and Andrea weren't given tough love and guaranteed starters minutes when they joined the team. We should be thankful that Kazlauskas isn't babying him.

Nice hands by Jonas for the tip in
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth
