It sucks they left Lu Dort to be a part of that. Ty Jerome and Tre Mann his starting backcourt. Literally Team Canada's bench had more talent

Lebron should force a trade to Cleveland to play with Allen/Mobley/Garland

Garland just plays the right way. Love how he sees the floor.

Not having Sexton on the team has helped the Cavs so much and freed Garland who is a great young talent. Him and Mobley are two players to build around.

Allen gotta be in that conversation too. Arguably the best player on the team while only being 23 years old.

Serge started at 4 last night vs Lakers, playing alongside Zubac. Not sure if they're going that way all the time, or was it to match with AD and Howard.
Serge would look good back on our team right now.

He was a big loss for raps... but we got Barnes thanks to the stiffs that replaced him lat year...

Knicks losing by 20 at home to the Nuggets who are without Murray and MPJ. Can you imagine the meltdown this board would have if we got blown out by home with a healthy squad against the Nuggets?
If both teams are at full health, there is no reason anyone would pick that team over ours.

Whenever I think about how crappy this season has been, I think about imagining our building blocks being RJ and Julius Randle

Yes. I'll take Scottie over RJ anytime...

Since joining the starting lineup Davis has had a few good performances, did anyone notice? Not trying to start a we shouldn't have let him go debate, but it is nice to see him playing well.

Much like the Kings you can't mess up that many lotto picks. Especially in NY where you know people will inevitably get impatient and build a team around short term vets.

Re: Official NBA General Discussion 2020-21 V1.0
So much parity in the East this year. Which East teams are clearly a tier above a fully healthy Raptors squad? I've got three:
Brooklyn
Milwaukee
Sixers
The Heat aren't as good as many expected. Lowry looks like he's taken a step back, and now with Adebayo out they're going to lose ground.
The Celtics have their two stars but lack team chemistry and a great supporting cast.
The Bulls have offense, but I need to see how their defense holds up before I slot them unambiguously above the Raps.
If we can just get and stay healthy, it should be a fun rest of the year - lots of juggling for playoff positioning ahead.

Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Re: Official NBA General Discussion 2020-21 V1.0
Houston on 6-game win streak, and Jalen Green has missed the last 5 games. Coincidence?
They started off the streak by beating the Bulls, but since then it's been Charlotte, OKC twice, Orlando, and the Pelicans.
Guess we'll find out soon if they've actually improved much, because now they get the Nets, Bucks, Grizzlies, Atlanta, and Cleveland.

'Cos it's easier to try
Than to prove it can't be done

Damn 2K upgraded the Raps to a tier 1 team. I was killing it when they were tier 3 at the start of the season

Regular season wise ? I think we can compete with 5-10th seeded teams.
In the playoffs ? I don’t see us beating Celtics, Heat, Hawks, Bucks, Nets and the Bulls. Not enough fire power or half court offence to keep up with them in a 7 game series.

Re: Official NBA General Discussion 2020-21 V1.0
Boucher is better suited to center... and he is besr when he goes to the basket, or on give and go... he needs to get away from the 3 pt shot... last game was his best of the season.. he needs to build on that... nick needs to tell him.. forget the three.. focus on the rest....
