Re: Tank World Order (2.0)
Need a loss tonight.
Sets us up very well. Despite that Wizards game winner we are surprisingly still in the mixish to get back down to #6. Wiz are playing good.
And I'm just as shocked as you guys are that Chicago is this bad. They might be giving orlando 2 top 10 picks which have the chance at climbing in the lottery. Scary.

The pick is top 4 protected so the bulls keep it if it climbs up further into the lottery.
Tonight’s gonna be a tough one to lose. No trae young, no Collins, no gallonari, no snell, no hunter.

What in the trash hell is this trash?!!
we play GSW, no Curry, no Draymond
we play Wizards, no Beal, no Rui
we play LAL, no Lebron, no AD
now we play ATL, no Trae, no Collins, no Gallo...
in the year we should tank, we keep getting these "injury"-riddled opponents.
not to mention
we played BKN without KD for much of the game
we played MIL without Jrue x2
...
Our record is so FAKE - we should be bottom 5 already, had luck not given us these many injured opponents.

No Jimmy Butler vs the heat. No Hayward vs the hornets, etc. lol

I'm well aware our team has seen lots of injuries as well, but I'm turning a blind eye to that. We should be losing all the games!

Teams losing their best players is different from playing without Fred, or without OG. Even our COVID games were less damaging because it overlapped with the all star break.

This is why it's so damaging going into next year if the only takeaway from this year is "This was a lost season it means nothing."
There should be very real concerns about the viability of the team as a whole and how best to properly retool. It feels extremely likely that Masai and co just run it back with a pick and a minor FA move.

Well glad you acknowledged that.
Siakam has missed 10 games, Fred has missed 10 games, Lowry has missed 14 games, OG has missed 19 games. We also went through a period where we didn't even have our head coach and where we starting Bembry at point guard. This year has been a wild year for everyone. If you look at the teams below us and even just above us (Chicago, Boston, NYK), their key players have played more games than our key players. We have absolutely not been lucky.
We just went through a stretch where we started Bembry, Flynn, Boucher, Trent Jr and OG and you have some people complaining that the Hawks won't have Tony Snell and Danilo Gallinari in their lineup.

It's hard for me to predict how we'll be next season until we see where we draft and what Masai does with the GTJ and Lowry situations. But we'll know where this team is headed in a couple months.

The Hawks have had Capella, Collins, Hunter, Reddish, Gallo and Bogdanovic out for huge chunks of the year. Atlanta being fourth to our top ten healthiest.

That's not what the numbers say. Trae Young has played 50 games, Collins and Capela have played 47 games. Gallo has played one less game than Lowry and 4 more games than OG. And really Gallo is nowhere near as important to the Hawks as OG and Lowry are to the Raptors. And I don't think Reddish belongs in this conversation. lol
Hawks best players have played far more than our best players.

Hunter? Bogi? It’s the amalgamation.
Pascal and Fred have played a lot and Kyle starting to fall off so it’s all moot. We just aren’t good.

Pascal and Fred have still played less than Capela, Young and Collins. And our best player has missed 14 games. None of our key players have missed less than 10 games. You'd be very surprised at how little our guys have played compared to the other teams around us in the standings. Been a blessing though because we're looking at a top 10 pick which in a normal year we wouldn't have gotten.

Re: Tank World Order (2.0)
We need to get this L tonight we need the best odds to jump up in the draft as possible...At 8-7 we just dont have enough odds id be comfortable with to get a top pick....Jalen Green is the guy we need to get in this draft...The guy was playing in the G-League and showed he can put up 17PPG in a pro environment also his speed and athleticism are off the charts
Wouldnt mind Cade or Suggs as well but if i had to pick one right now would be Green

i want cooper. I know we are stacked at PG, but if you can get him outside the top 20? do it!
I predict he will be top 10 in assists if not top 5 throughout his whole career . Will be the best lop thrower from day 1

Especially with the winnable games coming up against Orlando and Oklahoma this week, it is critical for this team to get the loss tomorrow as well. However, they are still one win behind the Bulls for 10th place. This team can still surpass the Bulls for the ""play-in game" and finish 10th before the season ends, unless they start resting OG and Pascal more (which they should do).
