This video and a lot of the replies are proof that some people just don't understand/follow the game close enough. Trying to use this clip as proof that FVV is a bad teammate or selfish is ridiculous. Eason came into the game shooting like 3/7 on FTA and is a low 70s free throw shooter for his career while FVV is at 90% this season and in the high 80s for his career. It's like if Achiuwa walked up to take a tech for us and Schroder waved him off lol. If anything, it's the below average FT shooter that is being selfish by trying to get an extra point when he should know that teams always have designated free throw shooters.

Thats fine if he's the better FT shooter, but theres no reason to push your teammate. Completely disrespectful.

Pushing your teammate is troublesome behavior, no wonder he got the boot and Masai didn't sign him back after his beef with Scottie as well. He was trouble.

When was this “beef with Scottie”? Some of you make sh*t up in your own heads.

There were people in the game thread trying to say Schroder had beef with Scottie which made everybody roll their eyes because you’re clearly making sh*t up at this point.

That has been one of the most frustrating moves of the past few seasons to me. I was getting dragged through the mud by a bunch of posters on here for saying Eubanks could be like a Poeltl-lite C that gives us ~20 minutes of just solid C with some rebounding, interior scoring and a bit of rim protection and playmaking. I'd rather have been wrong about how much he could produce when given a consistent role than us just cutting him for what ended up being no reason whatsoever.

Yes and we desperately needed a C at that time. Terrible decision. Even now , with Poeltl here, he'd be a fine back-up energy C as he is for Phoenix now.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

I don't remember this but I can certainly guess who these posters were.

Ironically, one was PhilBlackson – who just specifically name-dropped me yesterday in the Sharpe thread for not believing in him being a sure-fire star. He'll keep the receipts of the times he is/might be right, but I doubt he'll even acknowledge his lack of reading comprehension which sparked like 5 pages worth of off and on "lol mini-Poeltl" type remarks.

Tough seeing Norm shooting 50 percent while we have a total scrub in Trent...

Fred VanVleet. Still very good at basketball.

27 points, 17 assists, 8 rebounds, two steals, and one block vs. the Cavs.

I watched this game at work and those numbers don't even do it justice. He was straight up cooking. Making little plays that created turnovers....setting screens....directing traffic. Entertaining game.

Imagine if Houston had drafted Scotty or Franz instead of Green? They would probably be a legit contender right now.

I suppose Green deserves some more patience....but he is still really rough around the edges. Doesn't seem to know where to go on defense.

...no, lol. Come on now. They have 2 road wins this season. No Morant Memphis and somehow the Nuggets. They had a 7 game homestand early in the year.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.
