Bruh I didn’t even know you were one of those.

So many flip floppers!

Well yeah we were fifth in the east. Were winning a ton of games, things were finally looking up, and tanking didn’t make sense at the time. I thought Masai would move Lowry or Powell for a big at the deadline and we’d able to contend in the east.

It was the loss against the Wolves I believe that did it for me and that’s when I realized this team truly sucked and that tanking was the best route.

Considering this is a Tw0 thread and you're one of the biggest proponents for that, I am surprised you would say no to that trade. Both their lottos, our lottery pick, OG, Fred, etc? I say yes. Raptors get younger and roll out lottery pick rookies, one who should be top 5/6, and then watch Siakam play on GS after. Sign me up.

I would want wiseman also but yes I would do that trade also. Plus Siakam fits like a glove on gsw

There are no real ones. All Tankers are equal, whether they came early or came late.

Looks like FVV is going to be back for the Orlando and OKC games. He is supposed to serve the 1 game suspension once healthy, so this indicates he is ready to come back. Not good for the tank.

Dude, we rested Kyle last night so he could play tonight in the second half of the back to back...and now are resting him again tonight. Stop worrying about the tank.

Who needs a Lowry trade for extra assets when you can just sit him out for the rest of the season and re-sign him for 25M.

Galaxy brain stuff here.

What extra assets are you talking about exactly. Give us some details.

I don't think many people would consider Kelly Olynyk and Avery Bradley "extra assets." Those guys are expiring contracts, aren't young and don't make our team better. Not sure why you'd want to make a move for the sake of making a move.

Zach Lowe spoke about it on a pod shortly after the deadline. Maxey and whatever resulted from flipping Danny Green to a 3rd team was on the table as well as draft compensation (he would have been surprised if it wasn't a 1st).

There is 0 chance the Raptors get something close to that through a S&T so either you re-sign him or let him walk.

0 chance? Says you? lol

I'm sure the Raptors evaluated their ability to get something out of a sign & trade in the summer vs a deal at the deadline and passed.

i am absolutely against tanking, but if you fall ass backwards into it like the raptors have this season, i am glad they are leaning into it with all the rest.

i like it that way, i rather see birch/flynn/gilesspe etc play 24+ min a game vs playing a rotation of 12 and each player getting 8-10 min.

As long as they don't make the NBA Finals, Philly should make the move in the off-season.

Then they would have to trade Seth Curry, George Hill and Paul Reed. I would flip Hill to BK for Deandre Jordan, future 2nd pick and Cash.

PG FVV - Flynn - Seth
SG Trent - Seth - Harris
SF OG - Trent - 1st pick
PF Siakam - Boucher - Yuta
C Jordan - Birch/Boucher - Reed

Yeah, that's how I see it going down. I'd expect them to continue resting their guys and that alone should get them in the top 6. I'd imagine the Cavs and Wiz will take a crack at the play in given how awful Chicago is.

Says the history of sign and trade deals especially for a guy who is going to be 36. Feel free to list any deals you think will be comparable.

Masai overplayed his hand and is going to be left with peanuts, nothing or an overpaid Lowry.
