Well, this sucks. Simmons is too offensively challenged and will never overcome it. Everyone crapped on Demar and Lowry playoff performances, wait till this guy passes out of open layups in a close game 7

Sixers have been open in wanting a star or the assets to trade for one in return for Simmons

That trade does neither of the above

Ya thats a nice package for a team rebuilding but when you got Embiid in his prime, you need to put win now players around him.

FVV is the perfect fit. Hard nosed defence, hit shots, doesn't rely on penetration that gets in the way of Joel

Haliburton is considered untouchable by kings and most ppl who follow kings can understand why

They already rejected Brogdan so don't see why they'd go for Fred. They would be in need of a go to perimeter threat and CJ McCollum fits that's criteria the best imo. Very curious what type of package gets accepted for Simmons at this stage.

If the best they're gonna get is CJ, they screwed up big time. They should've ran it back. Simmons is critical to their defence and they'll have no one to guard Durant or GIannis now. They're done.

PJ Tucker, Jae Crowder, etc. are who you get to guard Durant or Giannis. Your corner stone player needs to get you buckets

CJ/Nance JR/Little plus 2 lottery protected 1st round picks for Simmons/Maxey.

Portland doesn't have 1st round picks to trade. Their genius GM gave up the ability to do that with the Nance Jr. trade.

Olshey traded a first round pick for Covington. He traded a first round pick for Nance. Was it worth it for Portland?

I think at this point, Philly probably has to accept that they need to take a gap year from being a legit contender. I'd hope for a deal like this:

Draymond/Moody/Kuminga. Philly basically punts on the season as a legit contender, but stays competitive with a Simmons replacement, and two really good prospects. The fit of Simmons and Draymond was never going to be great, but Wiggins/Ben is a better fit around Steph & Klay.

Philly re-stocks its asset base, becomes an exciting young team again, and slows down the timeline of becoming a champion. It's not the package they wanted, but at least they could have a bright future again. I personally don't see a realistic avenue that lands them Beal or Lillard (or even Lavine), so I'd guess that they'd have to start planning ahead soon.

Why do we have 95 pages for this bum Simmons? Should be 3 pages max. Do not want. And LOL at giving FVV, Boucher and picks for this loser. FOH!

For giggles, here’s a proposal:

Fred, Dragic, Boucher, 2022 1st (top 10 protected), 2022 2nd
for
Simmons, Curry

Philly gets a starting backcourt. We go full position less.

3 different lineups:

Simmons-Trent-OG-Siakam-Achiuwa

Curry/Flynn-Trent-Simmons-Siakam-OG

or the ultimate tall ball (needs shooting):
Simmons-OG-Barnes-Siakam-Achiuwa

Never forget. Did we all forget that our own team used to come up short in the 4th of games all the time?
For all his in season "performances" is he really worth the max? Me thinks not

Name me one other all-star who could average 83 FG% in the 4th quarter in the playoffs?

To play the devils advocate, how did Ben fare in 18-19? Could it be a case of Doc being Doc and not utilizing Ben properly?
