Re: Former Raptor discussion thread 2.0
Knicks fans are loving OG so far. Best defense they’ve seen in years and he has 4 dunks and 2 corner 3s
Hopefully IQ and RJ have a nice debut later today too

Re: Former Raptor discussion thread 2.0
It's hard watching OG on the Knicks and them winning by almost 20 against the 2nd best team in the league. Although I still feel like watching the Twolves is watching a garbage team

Another allstar performance from Norm.... burns me up when I see how he is playing 22pts on 9 for 11 shooting.. 50 percent foe the season.... and we have this pos in Trent, who single handedly has cost us MANY GAMEs this season....

Bring my boy Bruno back, perfect small ball 5 right now for us. Let's see what a stretch 5 who can Blk some shots looks like for us.

Lamarcus Aldridge dishes on why Kawhi didn't get along with Pop. Too much homework.

Imagine you're Kawhi Leonard. The best player on the other team is standing in front of you, and you have to guard him — night in and night out. You're exhausted after the game, but instead of unwinding when you get home, you pull out a notebook and watch C-SPAN instead. Why? Because your coach assigned current events homework. According to LaMarcus Aldridge, this might have been the reality The Claw faced in San Antonio.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Yeah the Raps lost that trade but Norm took a pay-cut to play home in LA whereas he probably would have demanded a larger contract here.
Still, GTJ is 24 and Norm is 30 so we might see the tide turn soon.

Yeah like I don't think people understand the age angle here at all.
GTJ is 24 turning 25. When Norm was 24 turning 25 he was averaging 5.5ppg on 49.2TS% and was hated on this board for being a bad contract. People give up on players way, way, way to quickly.
Norm is pretty much the same player as GTJ, he is just more refined of a player who does the same things as GTJ just at a higher level as he has more experience, but he was not always like this.

He signed a 10M extension in the off season lol borderline more per cap than GTJ.
Powell was a “bad contract” when he signed it.

So both were a bad contract, because I view GTJ as a bad contract. IMO we overpaid for potential.
