Would love to see Dort lock up Steph and make the rest of the Warriors beat them

And why do people need to show evidence that there would be any actual value in the off-season? There was no actual value at the trade deadline so what does it matter? lol.

Just because Maxey was a late 1st rounder doesn't mean other teams valued him as such.

I'm actually genuinely shocked that there are some people upset about not getting Tyrese Maxey. Do you really think players like Maxey are hard to get in this league?

Getting something is better than nothing. It's a fairly simple concept.

Given all the attrition the Raptors have suffered talent wise without gaining any assets it's shocking people are willing to risk Lowry walking for nothing/signing a terrible deal.

Maxey was highly coveted in a James Harden deal, yet he is insignificant? I see why a burner account is saying stuff like that.

It really isn't actually. That "something" is insignificant. Better off holding onto Lowry than trading him for a guy you don't want and that isn't good.

We just lost to OKC that didn't have Dort and SGA, this team can easily lose to anybody this season.

Wow - people would rather have a season or DNPs instead of getting Maxey.

It's just Masai nut-hugging. Masai is a top tier Exec and Raptors FO are among the best BUT they are not above criticism or devoid of failure.

So who are we rooting for in the matchup between Kings and Wizards?

Wizards as they are below the Raptors and are in the same conference.

Zach Lowe spoke about it on a pod shortly after the deadline. Maxey and whatever resulted from flipping Danny Green to a 3rd team was on the table as well as draft compensation (he would have been surprised if it wasn't a 1st).

There is 0 chance the Raptors get something close to that through a S&T so either you re-sign him or let him walk.

0 chance? Says you? lol

I'm sure the Raptors evaluated their ability to get something out of a sign & trade in the summer vs a deal at the deadline and passed.
You're not getting anything in a S&T except a TPE at best.

Yeah maybe with a team with cap space. A team contending without cap space will definitely offer something of value.

Even with a notable on-ball defender like Dort who fights through screens as good as anyone, Curry is just too good to be locked down like that on most nights. Plus I don't think Dort will be able to bully most of the Warriors oversized wings, the same way he bullied Mitchell and Conley in the mid-range last night.

Thunder should hope that the rest of the Warriors outside Curry really stink it up like they did against the Raptors a couple of weeks ago, and even then that's still a tall task.

Raptors vs. Spurs
Wizards vs. Kings
Cavaliers vs. Hornets
Magic vs. Bulls
Thunder vs. Warriors

Tonight is HUGE. Hopefully we go 5/5 (i.e. wins for Spurs, Wiz, Cavs, Magic/Bulls, Thunder). ORL/CHI game is a win-win either way.

I don't think we have a chance to catch orlando so I'll support the bulls. Thunder/wizards/cavs wins would be huge.

Didn't realize Gary Harris returned from injury to the Magic lineup. If he gets his three-point shot back, he'll give them a nice boost.
