Only on RealGM.

Kuminga was on fire shooting 29.4% from the field. Barnes could never.

Two straight off days in Vegas shouldn’t happen during summer league.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

I thought I was the only one who noticed that was weird, dudes been watching for close 20 years but he's determining how good a kids gonna be after ONE AND HALF summer league games.

No I’m not. I have no idea how good he’ll actually be but so far from my eye test I wish we picked Suggs.

Back in 03 I wanted Wade after SL

If Magic wanted Barnes > Suggs so badly like most saying maybe if Barnes is Trash we can trade him for Suggs mid season ;p

Nice to see Precious play well, I think he'll be a nice surprise during the regular season, might not be a drop off then Birch comes off, maybe he'll even start at some point but probably not this season

can anyone please explain to me why people are so down on Barnes for real?? He showed great flashes of on ball creation, took a nice smooth fadeaway, drew a ton of fouls and made some nice passes. I truly dont see why people are so down on todays performance

It’s not like Masai and Bobby are shocked by that. They didn’t draft Barnes thinking he was a finished project

Oh, I’m sure. It’s going to be a long wait though with him offensively.

I totally agree, I just think they clearly believe he can get somewhere with his handle and length, it’s a bit absurd how everyone is acting as if he wasn’t even a prospect now

Barnes should be taking 15+ shots every game in the summer league. This coach had this man sitting in 4-5 minute stretches and when he was actually put in the game nothing was run for him. The few times he had the ball the warriors couldn’t do anything except foul.

Banton looked legit again today. Difference in the game was/is literally 3’s. Golden state made 6 more 3’s than the raps.
I believe in Masai.

-barnes looks huge out there, surprised how long and large he looked next to kuminga
-barnes offense obviously work in progress, but his playmaking instincts are really encouraging. mentally seems very strong, aggressive even after some embarrassing attempts, looks to make the right play (whereas kuminga literally looked to shoot every time he touched the ball) shot will come around, touch around the rim and finishing could take longer to develop
-strong defensively, quick feet but oddly slow laterally, even then didnt get blown by often and used length effectively
-Not necessarily explosive but very strong and fast when he builds up some speed, very quick second jump
-flynn got ate by gary payton II, will still struggle to create space without a screen

Take a hike pal.

The answer to this, is a question.

Why didn't Orlando try to trade up to get Suggs? We know they didn't because Bobby and Masai would have taken whatever they were offering.

It's pretty obvious that Suggs is the better player right now, 90 percent of the board wanted Suggs. It's okay to say that you think Suggs will be better and I tend to agree with you as well. I also think Suggs has as much potential to become great as Barnes does which is why i think we whiffed on the pick. Top it off with the fact that we BADLY need a guard and don't need a long forward who cant score and here we are. Not taking Suggs will be a mistake I am almost sure of it

yeah, i don't think we really put our guys in the best positions to succeed tonight but that may be by choice to put them out of their comfort zone. for example, asking flynn to look for his shot more because we know he can run an offense perfectly fine.

it sucks to lose but more important is seeing how they played and competed. they didn't play all too well and looked on the backfoot all game compared to the opposition. but they were in it till the end just purely on effort and hustle.

will be interesting to see how they come out tomorrow.
