Promoting Webster to President would just confirm that letting go of Masai was because of him being too expensive......you can't say it's a results based decision otherwise Webster should've also been fired, not extended and then promoted.

You guys got to stop whining about nepotism constantly. That's just a fact of life. You would do the same for your kids. Otherwise, just makes you look bitter and angry.

Aren't most billionaires in the world nepo babies anyway?

Not sure how it makes Ed any better or worse of an owner if he got his money through his father's business as it is.

Yes I have. Your reply just solidifies my original comment and you're avoiding it like usual.

Bitter and angry is actually a good user name for you.

You didn't quote me by the way. Why am I obligated to respond to your worthless post?

It’s been tough few days for all - let’s all try to remember how much a gift to oneself gratefulness is, find your reason and it’s okay to let some one be wrong on the internet for your own peace of mind, brothers and sisters, we’re in this together.

You're not obligated to reply ever. In fact, that's my preference.

None of this makes much sense.

They like the direction of the team, they like the people in place and they believed Masai was valuable enough to be involved in the draft. Masai was responsible for all of this being the President.

They just didn't want to pay him and/or Ed has a personal vendetta against him.

They didn't want to sign him an extension for +15mill.

15 mill is a rounding error for Rogers. That's about the cost of a mle contract. If Masai was a yesman like Shapiro, I think the outcome would've been different. Ownership has displayed on the Jays side that they are very willing to give a lot of time to key leadership despite inconsistent results.

Money wasn’t the main issue. Rogers just never liked him.

We were 2 years removed from a championship and there was already heavy lobbying by Ed Rogers to not offer him a new contract in 2021.

He disliked Masai being bigger than MLSE when it came to the Raptors. He disliked Masai’s off the court political ties. As soon as Ed Rogers got his power of majority ownership last month, Masai immediately knew his days was numbered. Hence him asking if he could stay for the draft cycle at the start of the month.

Both things can be true, Masai did a horrible job over the last 3 years but at the same time Ed Rogers was never going to extend him after this current contract ran out. Whether he did an amazing job or not.

Our collective preference is for you and Randle to leave the forum. Read the room with that big brain of yours.

Can I suggest a trip to Halifax? Guy named James there that you'd all love.
