That’s why they had him shooting 3s last year even if he missed. Kind of like what the Raptors were doing while tanking

ESPN needs to stop trying to force feed Antman as the face because it’s going to be HIS (Vic) league within a couple of years (period). I don’t care what anyone says we should’ve at least given a shot to commit to the tank that year, Wemby will be the most insane thing we’ve ever seen if he can remain healthy by the time he’s anywhere near his prime.

Wemby if he stays healthy might be the best player of all time.

I still think the best archetype for the eventual true GOAT is "LeBron, but in a Giannis body" or even lankier/taller. Wemby isn't the natural, elite playmaker that really brought the whole package together for LeBron; able to do absolutely everything on the floor at both ends.
Wemby has enough to be better than LeBron, but I'm talking about what will be the pinnacle of the sport. And some tree trunk legged monstrosity that can play like CP3 is it, if it ever comes.

It’s more impressive than Lebron and KD’s longevity to me. Small guards aren’t supposed to be this good at age 37, let alone still being a first option.

Honestly think the small guard thing was an opinion from a different era. Guards were required to drive further into the paint a lot more. Now they take logo 3s. The impressive thing with Curry is that his game requires a lot of running around, so to keep up his endurance is unique.

It's so much easier now. They removed the defense and physical play. All you have to do now is get Lasik and keep your cardio up.
The lack of replacement talent for these old guys, tells you just how bad off the league is now in terms of top talent. They can't move on to the next best thing, because they don't have it yet.

I wonder how much COVID has affected overall player development. Which I think also gives an edge to older guys.

This is nonsense. All of it.
