Coming to a thread where they know people don’t agree with them, just to constantly try and prove they’re right. Lol.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but why wouldn't people refute someone when their views are based off of wild claims and factually incorrect "data" that they pull out of thin air? It's especially ridiculous coming from someone that never acknowledges any kind of rebuttal that actually does provide concrete evidence and facts.

This is exactly it. It's not that people disagree with the notion that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. The issue is how he refuses to defend his opinion with actual data and is spreading so much negativity throughout this forum that it's discouraging the quality posters from even posting here.

He basically admitted in this very thread that he doesn't want to even look at who other teams have faced. He's only zeroed in on who we've faced. I think we can all see the issues that may arise with that kind of attitude. The fact of the matter is, some members on this forum refused to acknowledge that we were playing shorthanded when we were without Pascal, GTJ, OG, Fred, Scottie along with many of our key bench pieces. They simply said "good teams find a way to win. There are no excuses." But now our team is healthy and we are starting to win so now they can't be real. lol. It's honestly embarrassing guys. Come on, do better.

We don’t think this core, in its current iteration, is elite. It’s really that simple. So trying to argue with data on that is kind of pointless. Let’s see how the season plays out. Maybe if we pull the trigger on a big trade to get an elite player some will change their view on the core.

Plus they just like to ignore basic facts themselves. I posted a fact about man games lost due to injury and the Raptors were in much better shape that the teams around them, yet they refused to accept an actual stat that is a fact.

Also lol at the whole “nothing about this team you love” point. What a load of crock. I’ve been a fan of his team basically my whole life. There is plenty to be happy about regarding this franchise (Masai, Nurse, Barnes, OG, development staff, etc). Just because I stated our record is misleading doesn’t mean I hate the team or the franchise.

Everyone has their own definition of being a fan but actively rooting for them to loose and attributing any win they have as "fake" seems like a perverted definition of a fan to me. So maybe the next time the raptors face a team with injuries, they should just forfeit? If its a fake win, its not worth it I guess.

Oh man, this old ass recycled talking point. Please refer to Tank World Order 1.0-4.0 you might get some answers. Those threads are from last year when we got Barnes, when more than half this board was rooting for as minimum amount of wins as possible.

Your fake win argument is non-sense and I will not go through pages of threads to seek an answer when its already clear - you will move the goal posts however you see fit to tell yourself you are right. On you being a fan of this team, I guess in your eyes you are so enjoy that ride.

Every game -- before it even happens -- you have determined the team is no good. You operate on a win it all or what's the use mentality, when empirically this has been proven wrong as well (see raptors 2015-2019 which culminated in a trophy).

I think you are confused and YOU need to seek answers!

Yo Los, I’ve seen you be reasonable. So respect. But maybe cool it with coming into a thread where you know people disagree with you, just to seemingly argue or bait. Like coming here just to tell people you think they’re ‘embarrassing’ isn’t contributing to heathy dialogue.

The Raptors are in much better shape than the Celtics/Hawks/Wizards/Indy, the teams around them. Even the teams ahead have far more games missed in the Bull/Sixers/Bucks/Cavs/Heat. The only team that can't claim injuries is the Knicks and Hornets.

This is fact that many refuse to accept.

ok how does this prove "fake wins". The raptors play the team in front of them. Also the heat have the same win % with and without lowry but its still a fake win.

That is the factual data, other teams have had more injuries than the Raptors, healthier teams win more. Its not rocket science.

You accuse 720 of not accepting facts, but now you're coming up with reasons do deny facts.

Precious i dont see as a ceiling raiser. But yeah Banton could develop into something special.

I'm not sure OG is really a ceiling raiser either depending how you define the term. Precious is a terrific defender who's surprisingly fluid dribbling in the open court. We'll see if he can improve his shooting like OG did. But if the game ever slows down for him Precious could be pretty good.

I'm higher on OG than most I think. I still believe he can expand his offensive game (like he did at the start of the season) and be efficient. It'll take a lot of work but I think OG's floor is a 3 and D scorer which is what he is now. But I still hold out hope that he can become a star with development.

Precious, I just don't see him being anything more than say a solid starter one day.
