Re: D.Smith Conversation with a "fellow": Bosh for Lee,Gallo
There's no way we get Gallo back in any Bosh S&T deal.
Lee actually from a value standpoint would be a pretty good return on a Bosh S&T (provided the contract isn't too outlandish) but like said, a Bargs-Lee-Turk frontcourt is going let us challenge for the worst defense ever.
One of Lee/Bargs must be flipped (I'd keep Lee) and there should be an obvious effort to try to move Turk, but I don't see it happening.

“What about Bosh?”
“I think he’s gone but six week ago I thought he was staying so who knows.”
“Sign-and-trade?" “That’s what they want.”
“David Lee?”
“Sure, and something really good with him. That seems to be what the people want.”
“Makes sense.”
“Tell me about Lee.”
“If you put him out there with Bargnani and Turkoglu it might be the worst defensive front court in the history of basketball. But he’s a good guy.”
“Hmm. That might be enough.”

Did anyone notice Lee giving Bargs a friendly punch on his chest after Bargs was fouled hard yesterday, which looked positively chummy? Portent of things to come, given rumors of Bosh's NY based girl-friend?
One thing that you can be sure that BC and Maurizio will do their damnest to get Gallinari along with Lee.Thats who the "Something really good with him" refers to
I missed that, but I did see Lee inbounding the ball and jokingly forearm Triano who played the part as if he were hit as they both laughed. It could just be the generally loose attitude and relief on the part of both that their seasons are finally over.

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Bosh + Hedo for Lee + Gallo + Curry
That actually is not that bad;
Curry, Banks, Evans, and Marco would give is around 23 million in expiring contracts.

Oh man, I will stop supporting the Raptors if this happens. I saw someone mention Bargnanis friendly tap with lee, also do you remember at the start when Triano jokingly flopped when lee touched him

Gallo is so damned overhyped. Reminds me of how Channing Frye was "untouchable"

Sonny Amir DD Jack and Evans are expendable IMO and don't belong on the court. They all jump a little too high and run a little too fast to be able to fit in with my preferred team.

Re: D.Smith Conversation with a "fellow": Bosh for Lee,Gallo
As sort of an aside, this underlying theme that Bosh is a better defender than Bargnani is ridiculous. Bargnani is a much better defensive player given the big man position they both play. True that Lee and bargnani would be a bad defensive duo as well, but it'll be just as bad as Bosh/Bargnani.
As bad as Lee is on defense, at least he hustles and tries unlike Bosh. I'm not a huge fan of trading Bosh for Lee cuz it wouldn't really solve our problems, but again Bosh is a huge part of our terrible D so losing him won't make our D any worse

+1,000,000
I don't care if its the only trade available I wouldn't take Lee.
Imagine Lee, Bargs, Jose and Hedo all at 9 million + a year?
what if you could get Curry for one of Jose/Hedo
like my deal of Lee + Gallo + Curry for Turk + Bosh
I still wouldn't do it. It doesn't make us better so that means out of the playoffs again. Lee is going to be getting a huge deal that I dont want anywhere near this team even if it means getting rid of Turk. I think it will be a lot easy to trade Caldy ( someone is going to need a pg) and get a centre to fit with Hedo and Bargs than to get a front court of Bargs and Lee to work.
Do you really see this team doing anything?
Jose/Jack
Demar/Belli
Weems/Gallo
Lee
Bargs

Agreed. He looks like a bigger dufus than Bargs and his athleticism is terrible.

If they do this deal, theyd better dump hedo for curry. And get rid of calderon some other way. And we hopefully luck out and get a superstar in the drafts to come.

Gallinari, sure. Lee leaves me cold. But I can't see Gallo in a trade for Bosh unless we take on Eddy Curry so NYK can sign somebody like Rudy Gay.

Wouldn't mind the trade considering Gallinari's upside.
With that said, Bargnani should be dealt if this happens. Amir Johnson could be viable with Lee as a frontcourt... if we're considering reality in that this team will probably suck next season regardless of what is done.

Re: D.Smith Conversation with a "fellow": Bosh for Lee,Gallo
i do actually. Wait till 2011 then you have Banks + Evans + Curry as expiring contracts and you would likely have a high pick (Knight?). Hell at the deadline see what you can get for those guys. Take back any picks, prospects it would be a nice rebuild.
Knight/Jack
Derozan/Belinelli
Gallo/Weems
Lee/Johnson
Bargnani/FA (cap room)
thats a really good team for the future. You cannot complain about a return like that for CB.

Well, we will probably miss the playoffs no matter what, so you need to take a longer-term perspective. In this scenario, Curry is expiring, and would be traded for some talent at the trade deadline if not sooner.
Personally, if this was the trade, I'd move Lee to a third team and get picks or a point guard with speed.
