I just have a feeling that Jarrett is a player that’s constantly pushing his teammates in practice to get better. Basically what Jarrett does rubs onto his teammates.

I agree, Jarrett is a leader.

If we are trading Jack, it better involve:

1) Top 10 pick
2) Collison/Devin Harris/Rubio (young PG)
3) Iggy

I will be truly upset if BC trades Jack and we don't get anything in that list in return. That's how much I think Jack should be valued to this team, key word is should be. Not sure if other GM's (or even our own) feel the same.

Since when does Weems bring any kind of defense to the court anyway?

Funny how everyone hated Jack during the year for his D and Cack (what an awful name) and now he's back in everyone's good graces.

lol @ bargnani working out with McHale. That's like asking Hedo to give up his pizza. Not gonna happen. All bargs wants is Mo Shats and he only improves with Mo Shats. I bet you he's in South Africa right now instead of training and improving his rebounding and strength.

God forbid we dream of wanting our players to be better.

Who's everyone? I don't recall a mob out for Jacks head. Most people wanted him starting instead of Jose most of the season. He started out slow, but after December he was fine.

People forget that Jack took 3 weeks to make his first 3 of the season last year. After that it was lights out. Weird.

With Demar I'm not really concerned. If we know one thing it's that the kid has the work ethic and desire to get as close to his potential ceiling as possible.

i'm genuinely curious. how are we so certain about this with demar? it seems everyone on this board is so damn sure that demar is such a hard worker, yet all i've heard about him are the same generic comments given to every newcomer in the league.

We should get Bargs to work with Brad Daugherty.

Personally if you ask me, working with big time retired players is overrated. In this case, McHale is a good choice because he has coaching experience, so he will know how to work a player and teach. But teaching and playing basketball are two different things. You can do one but not necessarily the other.

Yah, but the distance from where he is to where his ceiling is, is quite the distance. He needs to make considerable progress this year because he didn't really do anything last year to cement himself as a future cornerstone of this franchise.

Jack is still going to school at GT in the summers isn't he? Seems like he has more invested in the school than CB who was just a one and done.

Bosh has from day one always been in this from himself. As a young guy in this league he a did great job of hiding it, because he knew he wasn't a good player like LeBron or Wade, he had to work to get better and reach elite status. Now that he's done that he became who he's been all along, a money hungry, attention whore diva who would rather have a million followers on twitter than to win a playoff series.

Jack is the complete opposite, even though he's a millionaire he still wants his education, money isn't everything to him, and he knows you can't play basketball forever. He's never been to playoffs and his working his ass off to be that point guard who can help us get to the top. He has an incredible attitude and has done more in terms of leadership in one season for this team than Bosh has done in seven. That's all you need to know about those two and the monumental differences between them.

Jack has great leadership qualities, but he's not good enough to be the main leader. That's why I liked having Antoine around. That way when Jack sucks, there would be someone else around who could talk. We need more guys who are willing to speak up, if we can't have one superstar who is just always good.

Man, you must really have it out there for Bosh, all you've done is spew venomous hate.

Jack is more involved with G. Tech, while Bosh is more involved with his own life and career. Is that a problem? Absolutely not. Jack wants to finish his education and get better, that's absolutely fine. If Bosh doesn't finish his education, that's fine too. He's a great player who is probably focused on his free agency, the finals and improving his game.

Plus, I remember you saying in one thread we didn't need CB4 because we had an elite PF in Bargs. Nuff said here.

Back on topic please. Him working with Price is an excellent opportunity to improve his range and help him a lot.

I will assume Mark Price wasn't a defensive stalwart. What's the truth?

It's the name that's turning you off, isn't it?

I know Mark Price the great offensive player. But I'm wondering about D. Jack needs help on that end, too. But definitely Jack needs better handles, so I hope Price is helping him with that, too.
