with his shooting he should be able to play in europe and for canada for as long as he wants. transfering that late in your college career is tough though

Not that I think so, but theres ppl very close to the family that think Devoe is still a better player than his brother. He did have a decent showing in the tourney a few yrs back, maybe with a great yr the 2nd round could be viable. Europe should be attainable tho.

Marvell W. at Arkansas is missing too.

There are a few games tonight but the season really gets on going Friday with 126 games. Monday night should be good with Kansas-Kentucky, Florida-Ohio State and Duke-Mich St.

Everybody who I know for sure is Canadian is in the list in the OP. If I am missing anyone then please let me know. I did not miss the traitor on Stanford so there is no need to point him out. I may have missed players whose hometown is not in Canada but consider themselves Canadian.

I did not realize Michigan State plays North Carolina and Duke in a span of 4 days. That is crazy.

Those games between Kansas/Kentucky and Duke/Michigan State are a part of a series the 4 teams are starting this year. Duke plays Kentucky next year for the first time in years and Kansas plays Michigan State. I love series like this.

turns out kevin thomas wont suit up for UT this year due to his grades. maybe go juco this year and try t oqualify next year. real shame when a kid with that kind of talent cant get his head on straight to qualify.

http://basketballbuzz.ca/ncaa/incoming-canadian-kevin-thomas-doesnt-make-the-ncaa-grade/

that site also links to an article that braedan anderson didnt qualify for kansas and will now be heading to fresno state instead of going to the juco-to-KU route. thats two kids who would be playing major roles for ncaa tourney teams not making it due to academics. sad.

I actually looked over Texas's roster and did not notice him but I was going quickly so I thought I missed him. That is too bad because Braeden Anderson could not go to Kansas because of grades too. I think the Big 12 is a joke that is giving Canadian ballers a hard time.

I did not even read the rest of your post and now see you mentioned Anderson. lol.

That guy doesn't really believe that crap he posted about Thompson does he?

I actually think Brady Heslip is going to shoot the lights out this year for Baylor. He had 13 in his Baylor debut vs Abilene the other night. Jones is going to open the floor wide open for him.

Luke Winn on SI.com released his top 16 backcourts, frontcourts and shooters. No canadians in the backcourt, but the frontcourt had the guys youd expect (pitt - birch (15); gonzaga - sacre, olynyk (16); kentucky - wiljter (2); syracuse - joseph (11)) and his best shooters had a couple canadians. mitrovic at 16, and bryson johnson at 14. and dont be surprised if wiljters on that list next year, he did win the 3 pt contest at mcdonalds.

He was not on the original roster for Texas Tech so he must be a junior college transfer. Please let me know if I missed any other players.

That's alot of Canadians getting double digit scoring.

1. Why was Olynyk redshirted? Was it medical, or more logjam related.

2. Khem Birch, by the boxscore struggled. 2 points, 3 boards in 17 minutes. Not sure if he played his role and played well defensively -- those would go further into him getting PT with Dixon.

What are the chances of Canada putting together a real good national team in a couple years?

It depends on what you mean by a real good team. We should be able to put a team together that is a tier below the US if some our players pan out. Jack Armstrong thinks Nicholson will at the very least be a great international player for us. If Wiggins turns out to be a superstar then the puts us in great shape.

I personally have not been impressed by Cory Joseph so I don't care if he is a 1st round pick or not. I may be wrong about him but that is my opinion. We need Kabongo to pan out because PG is very important as we saw with Nash.

So you think we have the potential to be second in the world surpassing Spain ? That would be nice.

We have already been at their level in 2000 so I do think we can get back to that level. I do not think we will consistently be a top 4 team but will always have the potential to do well in a tournament. We will rely heavily on our top players actually showing up for us which is why Thompson being a punk is a bad sign in my opinion.

They talk about Olynyk like he is expected to play this year. Something must have happened in the last couple days. I found a link from 190 days ago saying he was looking to transfer at the time. Their message board says he is red-shirting to get stronger and work on his game.
