They should combo both of these picks and try to move up a bit to land Teague

As this is a deep draft the early 2nds should have higher trade value than normal. Good odds that maybe 3-4 players could become solid NBA players. However, BC will likely dump them for some undervalued piece on another roster.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

There is always someone who slips (Especially at pick 36) I'm betting one of

Fab Melo
Scott Machado
Quincy Miller
Marquise Teague
Wroten Jr
Tony Mitchell
Andrew Nicholson

Will be available when we pick.

If we keep it....barring someone massively dropping I'm guessing Taylor, Jenkins, Machado and BARTON.

Well said. Took the words out of my mouth. This might be a reach, but if this team stays at 8, any chance the Raps could possibly trade both second round picks, its 8th pick overall, along with a guy like Ed Davis to move up to 3-5? I know people hate giving up Davis. I do too. However, this team stated they wanted to bring back Magloire next year to help in part to develop Val, they already told Gray according to him (he was interviewed on FAN 590 with Blair in the morning two days back) that resigning him was a priority. They already have Amir and Bargnani. So, that means one of Davis or Amir is expendable. Amir's contract and bad back will not bring back anything of real value in my opinion. Davis will. Package Davis, the 2 second round picks and the 8th pick to move up 4 spots that this team would have already been positioned for, had it not gone 6-8 this month. At 3-5, draft either Beal, Barnes or MGK. End of story.

Bottom line is getting a rotation player. Many second rounds never pan out.

Wow, that would be a bad trade for the raptors trading an 8th pick in Perry Jones? along with Ed Davis, Quincy Miller and maybe Jae Crowder in the second round for a guy like Barnes

Thats too much of steep price to pay to move up only 4 spots.ED Davis will be a good servicable big man and you can find solid players in the second round. If anything BC should try to trade our two second round picks to move up into the 20's.

The raptors should be looking to move up but only a few spots. Drafting at 5-6 would be perfect. One of Barnes,Lamb,MKG, Beal or Robinson. No need to dangle both our second round picks plus ed davis to move up in the top 5.We should be coming out of this draft with atleast 2 players.

Just roll the dice with some Canadians in Joseph and Sacre. Our 2nd round picks never amount to anything.

I think they'd have to throw in another asset. Would the 38th pick and the 56th be enough to get into Teague territory? I really doubt it. Second rounders do have the advantage of not being guaranteed, but nobody's going to have a problem guaranteeing a contract for Teague. Maybe Bayless and a 2nd rounder would do it.

I'd be happy drafting any of Wroten, Melo, Fournier, Moultrie, Satoransky, Nedovic, or Van Oostrum if they're available. The first four will likely be taken in the late 1st round though, so perhaps we could package the 2nd rounders to move up and select one of them.

Going through the draft board, this looks like the first draft where there are no high ranking Euro's or South Americans in the draft. There are none projected in the 2nd round either.

Actually Evan Fourneir might be the only one projected. Its been a while with a draft without much of an international presence.

Satoransky, Nedovic, and Van Oostrum are potential draft candidates worth looking at imo. Lima and Nogueira would have been interesting too, but I don't think theyre going to declare

Jae Crowder is my pick in the second round if no bigger names drop from the first round. He said he wants to play SG and is going to lose weight. If he loses 10-15 pounds i see no problem with him playing on the wing. Hes not the most talented but he plays hard. I like him but not sure if BC will draft a wing in the secound round. I dont understand why hes not higher and some mocks having him goind end of the second round.

Would love to get Fournier would trade both 2nds to get him or trade Ed for him.
He is raw but has the potential to be the best SF not called MKG.
If not Nicolson might slip into second he is a senior and I believe is as good as either Amir or Ed.The late second someone will slip maybe eveone Joseph. I doubt Sacre will be drafted.

I like Crowder a lot in the second round. I'm not convinced he can play SG full-time, but I see no problem with him at SF, and he canprobably spot defend SG with no issues. He's built like a tank, defends like a madman and has an efficient shooting game, plus he's a very smart player. I like it. Sure he can't handle the ball worth a damn, but in the second round I'm looking for NBA caliber skills period rather that expecting a LeBron James in the rough kind of gem. Crowder's shooting (most likely) and defense (for sure) are NBA caliber IMO, and his BBIQ puts him over the top.

I also like Barton and Machado in the second.

It is a steep price. Thing is one of Amir or Davis needs to be moved, since Val, Bargs, Gray are presumed to be back with Magloire as the third Center. These guys can not all play at the same time. Amir's bad contract and bad back will not bring back anything significant. I am not sold on Perry Jones. He is a great athlete and has all the tools. However, Kwame Brown and Anthony Randolph had a great athletic build, and great tools coming into the NBA. Perry Jones is a tweener and this team

does not need an another PF. He will turn out to be a better player than Brown or Randolph, but if this team can move up into the top three, by packaging the 8th pick, Davis and both second round picks, I say do it for a Beal or MGK. If that can not be done, I agree with you- package both 2nd rounders to get a pick 25-30.

I like John Jenkins if he's available and Will Barton who should be there.
