It is not that Masai has done anything spectacular, it is just that raptors have had to endure 7 years of incompetent management.

This season we're going into the summer with 41m on the books, with team options on Johnson, Salmons, Vasquez and Patterson (which would likely be picked up for Johnson (for sure) and likely Vasquez/Patterson if they continue to play like this) which would put us at 55.5m with around 6-7m in flexibility.

If you're going by Hoopshype, the numbers are wrong. Fields number is wrong, Camby's buyout isn't reflected. We have obligations of $42 million including Amir's full salary, a $1 million guarantee to Salmons, and a $1 million guarantee for Hansbrough. Add in $2-3 million for draft picks. Forget Vasquez and Patterson for now, because we don't know who we are going to draft or who we might get for Salmons or Hansbrough in trades to help other teams with cap/tax issues. Just think in terms of $45 million as the starting point for summer dealings, summer meaning any time after we play our last game.
