If you think Parker's better than Wiggins, you probably think Carmelo is better than Paul George.

Reason I ask is because it's possible to move up in this draft and if SF is who you are looking for it seems likely you could get him at 10, 13 or 15 (and those teams would probably trade back for the right price). Or would you target Stauskis as our top prospect - three point specialist of the bench (although I think that Ross is a better fit there)

Wiggins, Parker, Hood, Warren, Young, Saric, Anderson, McDaniels.

No way Hood is better than Warren. Saric may turn out to be the third best and he is a tweeter like Jabari.

What.
Hopefully you meant Julius Randle because Parker does not play like a PF in any way shape or form. If anything, he is the prototypical SF in his size, skill set, and tendencies.

was checking the nba draft section on the main board and alot think Parker will be a bust at the next level because of his D and hes 20 lbs overweight according to Chad Ford.

Jabari was an excellent help defender for Duke which says a lot because their perimeter defense was a turnstile. He cleaned up so many defensive breakdowns. Because he was the primary help defender he wasn't going to effectively defend the perimeter. Put Wiggins in the same situation without Embiid to erase mistakes because KU's perimeter D was just as bad with Tharpe and Greene not being able to defend anyone and he would get exposed as much.

Btw Jabari is clearly a SF. PFs can't handle the ball like him or pass off the dribble.

Parker wasn't really good at anything on defense. He never will be, I see him as a Jamal Mashburn/Glen Robinson type small forward.

Actually, he was an incredible weakside shot-blocker. Watch his road game against Clemson when he was challenging everything at the rim.

Not to troll, but so was Bargnani. He was still a sieve.

Bargnani was an incredible weakside rim protector? Lol what? All I remember was a layup line.

Re: 2014 NBA Draft Prospects Thread #5 | Raps picking 20th
I think the reason Jabari isn't just the Derrick Williams like defensive problems he'd have at the 3, but think about what's in offensive style of play wise
SFs who post up for midrange shots, but struggle to get to the rim and are average 3pt shooters, aren't not really in vogue (Jabari has a chance to be a great 3pt shooter at SF, but far from guaranteed, he was the 6th best 3pt shooter on Duke in both 3p% and FT%)
Skilled PFs who stretch the floor however, are becoming increasingly popular
I think Jabari has a better chance of playing SF than Williams and Bennett because those guys didn't have his post up skills, but I wouldn't bet on it, especially if his 3pt shot stays average for a SF but great for a PF. The spacing Jabari could provide at PF could be his meal ticket and he's still big enough to potentially post 4s up
Many people are comparing Jabari to Melo, but Melo has always had a high ratio of shots at the rim/FT line or from 3. Earlier in his career he didn't shoot 3s as well but drove more, now he's less athletic but can shoot 3s at an elite rate. Melo would still be an offensive superstar if he avoided midrange shots like James Harden IMO, I don't think his fancy dancy mid post game is as big a difference maker to his career, as others do. The risk for Jabari is his ratio of midrange chucking to shots at the rim/FT line or 3, is more lopsided than it was for Melo, due to not having the first step largely

OOuf! To be honest Melo plays for a **** team plus I"m not a fan baring he does some real cool sht in the future but I'd take him over PG. Melo is one of those over rated, under rated players right now. He needs to GTFO of NY and have success on a new team.

Probably sometime in the next week or so? There are a lot of workouts going on in LA right now, MU and his staff are probably out there.
