Only 26 too.
Wait until he develops that three point shot and is in his prime, he's gonna be a superstar.
Is demar derozan a relic?

The new generation will be more along the lines of Stephen curry and klay who are phenomenal talents and more representative of what teams are trying to accomplish with the efficient 3 point shot.
I think this is a tremendous misreading of the current situation.
The Warriors can do what they do because they have two of the best three point shooters in NBA history in their starting backcourt.
Also, as teams adjust to new offenses, they are beginning to focus on running shooters of the three point line and defending the rim.
Guess what part of the floor that opens up?
stretch 4's, every team is trying to adopt what the gstate warriors are trying to do, run positionless basketball with shooters all around.
I do agree though that the game may be cyclical similiar to how the financial markets are where we will go with a stretch of small ball and then as teams adapt they will size up and the dominant center will come in to place.
I just don't see a role where demar derozan like players will be groomed to play like he does. I do not think highly difficult mid range jumpers and barreling into the lane like he does will ever become a main stay in the nba again because with the whole analytics movement teams are doing better at getting better shots, not 17 foot baseline fadeaways over a double team.
This is just an opinion of mine and it might not hold merit but from the young guys we see in this league more specifically at the sf and sg spot I do not think there is anyone even eerily similiar to demar derozan other than an advocate of the same style that is d wade and kobe.
