Interesting. I believe this could hurt or help him. While this draft class weak, Grayson had trouble against athletic defenders. I think honing his PG skills another year college will really help him become a more complete player. I truly believe he will stay all 4 years at Duke. On the other hand, next year's draft class is STACKED. I think if he can become a legitimate PG, he could be a backup in the NBA or have an incredible career in Europe.

Who do we want to win exactly???

Orlando to win and Knicks to lose; at this stage no point of rooting for NO they already at a lost cause for use unless there's some miracle they win all of the of their games and Denver lose all of theirs. There still a chance for this pick to be 8-9

jaylen brown. he's a 6"7 multi-tool defender who could get a jumpshot in our system (like powell)

He's not guaranteed to fall, although he's the main suspect to fall. If he's there you take him and run, but I wouldn't put all of my eggs in that basket.

I don't think he's falling. He reminds me a ton of Stanley Johnson who went 8th in a way better draft. Jaylen's not falling past 6 - if he were too we would need to swoop up and get him asap.

Right now I have him going 7 to the Kings so I doubt he drops. But that's still lower than where he was projected at the start of the year, which was 3rd overall.

I'm not confident at all about Orlando beating Detroit tonight. Detroit won the first two contests this season by fairly wide margins (by 26 in the first game, and 16 in the second). Fortunatley, Vucevic will be playing.

I could see the Kings taking Chriss as he's a hometown kid.

I wouldn't mind that since someone drops to us in that scenario. The Kings are probably the biggest joke in the NBA right now and making that type of mistake fits right into their plans. Chriss is a nice player, but taking him over Brown is a travesty.

It's easy to say he won't fall, but I'm not so sure. Yeah, last year's draft was really good, but nobody was saying before the draft that it was going to be an amazing draft. The benefit of hindsight is great and all, but whenever it gets proclaimed that a draft class is weak or strong, it's just as likely to be right as wrong. I tend to see a stronger correlation in drafts being called weaker or stronger based on the number of teams who are or aren't relying on them for a turnaround. In this case, most of the talk of weak draft classes has come from teams that have traded their picks already. Of course it's in their interests to sell the idea that it's a weak draft, and nobody is really going to contradict them, but a bunch of internet experts will get behind them in their mantra. This might be a weaker draft, and likely is because of how strong this past one has been, but it's tough to say.

As for whether he'll fall or not. Besides Johnson, you've got examples of Paul George, Kelly Oubre, Kawhi Leonard, Ben McLemore, Otto Porter, Giannis, Moe Harkless, Wiggins, Parker, and a whole host of interesting big/mobile forwards who have gone all over in the draft over the past few seasons. I'm starting to wonder if Brown won't fall, and I hope he does because he'd be a great fit on the Raptors, although there are plenty of good options.

If Brown is there I don't think so....they just about brought in WCS to allow DMC to play more PF but it is a possibility I guess.

Just rounding out their young talent in most positions and when Brown is actually the player who was supposed to go higher I don't see why they go with Chriss who seems like more of a gamble with a fairly similar upside (can't really tell who's is higher tbh).

Rondo
Ben
Brown
DMC
WCS

They'd finally have a young core they can work with moving forward. Doesn't make much sense to draft Chriss to be a back up or push WCS to the bench when Brown could be just as good, if not better at a position of need.

Kings are almost certain to pick Murray if he's available at their pick. Vivek and that Kentucky connection that he so loves (not to mention still trying to lure Calipari)
