Given that we most likely won't get another top 10 pick for a while, might as well go highest upside and balance it out with the lowest floor. I am all aboard the Davis, Skal and Sabonis train.

Davis is snowshoes. Skal is is the biggest question mark of any draft talent we have ever contemplated besides Thon and Chris Walker. Making Hail Mary upside selections is what gets REAL GM's fired. Not saying Davis is that but Skal sure is. It is foolish to consider a pick who should have stayed in college.

By the way how impressive is Malcom Brogdan? Four years in college, played ball all four years, picked up his undergrad degree and his masters in just four years... MLSE should pick him at 27 and if he gets cut offer him a front office job.

Man… another Tracy Mcgrady would look good on our team, right about now. I hope we keep the pick.

I guess no one was excited about today's workout but I liked who the Raptors brought in. AJ Hammons a developed NBA ready defensive C, Alex Poythress a SF/PF from Kentucky, Michael Gbinije SF from Syracuse, Troy Williams from Indiana, and Villanova centre Daniel Ochefu.

Poythress is my guy that who I pegged as a star potential two years ago after his first March Madness Tourney, then injuries and stagnant development happened. I still think he is a big time athlete and smart defender. I'd definitely line him up for Summer League.

Hammons is weirdly under appreciated. The guy is huge and pretty mobile at 7 ft. Probably one of the best shotblockers and post-defenders in college. Hammons has discipline issues which limited his minutes, but his per 40 numbers are crazy: 24.3 points, 13.3 rebounds and 4.1 blocks. As a late-first you have to think about him. Sure he is 24, but big men develop late and he would be interesting to look at.

it's pretty easy tbh. I know someone who was born in 1965, but didn't want to be looked up to as so old so she just changed her DOB 2years younger. china is over populated they just take w/e u write as DOB. Some children don't even know when they were born and just makeup a date.

The rumor is that Sabonis has a promise in the top 12, they're not sure who it is but their guess it's us or ORL as per Poopsworld

Not sure why they center us out when it appears we've scouted Korkmaz n Prince more intensively than any other players.

Its most likely speculation based on the fact that we need a PF. Im pretty sure its not us

The promise is clearly a smokescreen by Sabonis' agent. Why would we promise him anything at #9 when hes expected to go in the teens? Agent is trying to raise his stock and using us to do so since we have a need at PF.

Thats what I believe atleast

Masai never reveals his hand to the media as well. So anything aaid by the front office is either the politcally correct anawer or a smokescreen.

I don't think Masai is the type to give anyone a promise. He wouldn't put all of his eggs in one basket because nobody knows how draft day will go.

So haven't talked about Timothe Luwawu for a while now. He's an interesting prospect, who is ahead of Furkan Kormaz in terms of development. He is a solid defender, which would allow Casey to trust him, and he's got a good shot. If he keeps on developing, he could be a Batum type player, or I think he'll at least be as productive as Ross.

I have a weird feeling we might just pick Maker with #9 if Chriss, Hield, Murray or Brown don't drop to us. What do we have to lose? Maker was projected to be a top pick less than a year ago. Just imagine if he plays up to even half his potential. Running out a lineup of him, Bruno and JV in the front court could be MONSTROUS 3-4 years down the line.

I'm just wondering for all the people advocating picking Poeltl why we would waste our lottery pick on a back up C when we could easily nab AJ Hammons with the #27 if need be and he projects better in nearly every category per 40?!

My guess (or hope) is if Murray slips to 5, the rumors of us picking Sabonis at 9 are actually for a trade with Minnesota. Just speculating. Gotta hit a homerun pick in the lottery if we plan on being good for a long time.
