I think you may be disappointed. I expect Masai to keep looking for rookie contracts to fill out the bench like Norm, Poeltl, Siakam and maybe Delon at some point. Saves money for re-signing Lowry and rookies who make the rotation of winning teams likely have good value around the league.

How much more filling does the bench need? the Bench is well taken care of, it's some of the people who are on the court that we could use the upgrade on. I get the feeling Masai doesn't want to trade unless he's sure he won't get criticised, but to me, the potential of these picks goes down if there's already 2 4 year guys on guaranteed money, waiting for a shot, 3rd year guys waiting for minutes, and two 2nd years guys, taking up the young guy minutes in the front court. I'm not even sure the math wrks on the guaranteed deal we have to add two more players. You count Bruno & Bebe, Norm & Delon, Pascal and Jacob, and add two more and and that 8 men of a 15 man Roster.

I mean, we have FVV, Bebe, Bruno, Delon, Powell, Siakam, Poeltl, Joseph, Carroll, Ross, JV, DeMar, I'm sure we try to bring back Kyle, I imagine we try to bring back Pat, since his other than his bird rights, the MLE is the only way we add a pf. So that's 14. to make both picks, means we'd have to cut a guy before the season begins, unless some trade is done. But if you're going to do a trade, to me, it'd be silly not to use a pick to sweeten the return. I know Powell isn't guaranteed next year (Bruno and Bebe have more guaranteed money next year than Powell) and I imagine FVV isn't fully guaranteed next year either, but you're losing out on either guaranteed money, that will cost you more due to tax level, or a good player to use the picks that don't project at this time, to be very high anyway.

the other pick is the Clippers pick. We get it unless they miss the playoffs. If they miss the playoffs and are in the lottery, this year and next, then I think we get two seconds instead. ( i may be wrong on that, as it may just be if they miss the playoffs this year we get two seconds)

Then why did we just pick their options up to guarantee them for next year, when we didn't have to?

You're right that someone eventually gets moved. I'm looking for Masai to move some combination of Ross, Patterson, Norm, Bruno, Bebe, Delon and possibly a pick. I think Masai may not like dealing picks and prospects in general though. Remember he made his career as a scout. I believe he did it for free for a time before finally getting his shot, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was some kind of emotional attachment, or point of pride when it comes to the draft.
I have no issue with moving assets for an upgrade to the starting lineup, but I certainly wouldn't do it for veteran bench players.
