I was a dumb American kid who loved dinosaurs and Vince Carter. Despite my love for both waning over the years I have remained a loyal Raptors fan.

I'm from London (the UK one) but live in New Zealand. I have been a fan of the Raps since the start, got on old Raps T-shirt from when they formed saying they were in the central division.

They are my second sporting love after my football (soccer) team.

I always wonder how people who do not live close to the team keep their interest and love alive. I lived in Washington DC and was die hard fan of Redskins and Georgetown (Bullets not that much). I tried to follow them but over years that kind of faded. I guess it's like distance love relationship, you don't want it to die but eventually it will.

Personally it hasn't been hard for me. Been a fan since 95 and moved to L.A in 2010. The love of the team has only grown for me. I just buy league pass and still catch 95% of the games. Also pretty much always attend the games when they play Lakers or Clippers here.

Macedonia, Europe here. First time i watched the Raptors was a rerun of the 3OT regular season game against the Kings in 2001, on the National TV here. Everyone liked the Kings here because of Divac and Stojakovic (including my dad) but i guess i liked what i saw in Vince Carter more. (ok the dinosaur might have helped as well xD). btw here is the game. :D

We weren't able to see a lot of Raptors games here, so the next one i watched was the Game 5 against the Knicks when the Raptors advanced. I was so happy for them although i didn't know most of the players :) Btw i have that game as well :D

And then the classic. Raptors - Sixers was a thing in my school. Half of my class were for the Raptors, and half of them were cheering for Iverson xD. As 11 years old boy i stayed late at night to watch the Game 7, and i can say i didn't want to go to school the next day. Damn Vince... :(

From the UK, visited Toronto 545 days ago (i know its precise, I have an app on my phone that reminds me all the time how long it's been since and it depresses me).

I actually booked the holiday for November time just so I could catch my beloved raptors, didn't tell my wife that's why we were going in November though. Coincidentally, I saw us beat the bucks 106-87, Casey got his most wins as a raptors coach in history and we ended up with a free slice of pizza!

All I can say is, Torontonians have no idea how lucky they are, your city is beautiful and the many people we bumped into/spoke to made the trip incredible.

Currently saving to revisit, I miss Tdot every single day! :(

I am from Brazil, tired of corruption of football, so I left my football team in Brazil and made Raptors my first team. Everything beginned with Bruno :)

Nene was a well rounded player, it was different. At the time I was really disapointted with football, then the draft happenned and somehow became very excited with Bruno future. And here I am, 2 years away of one year away, whatching Raptors games.

i know quite a few Americans but they don't post here...i asked them why Raps? their answer was Vince Carter is the reason they're Raptor fans because of the VC era. Remember the time when Raps would go on an opposing team's arena and most kids are wearing Raptors #15 jersey. Some stayed and grew up staye a Raptors fan. Kinda like Kevin Durant grew up a Raptors fan.

LA born and raised.

seems like we get this question every year, interestingly enough.

Raptor fan from pittsburgh. I have been a fan since they beat the 72 win bulls team. MJ balled out but still couldn't the win. Ultimate under dog game. I will be going to cleveland if the raptors can force a game five.

Italian fan, never been to Canada.
I want to firmly specify that I started supporting the Raptors because of Vince and not Bargani! :D

I'm a fan of the Steelers! I'm actually a hardcore Bills fan but the "yinzers" have been a very close second.
