At this point, I want to see him traded just so we can all wallow about what could have been if Casey was not head coach.

Ideally, we get a young defensive center back and are able to dump both contracts in one go.

What? that is a brutal deal. Who is this young defensive center you are talking about

It would make some sense...curious to know what Pop could do with him. Wouldn't be much harm from our side...one or two years of Aldridge and then full rebuild...

One thing is I'm not sure how Ibaka/Aldridge would pair, but I could see LMA getting along with Casey.

"you don't know what you're talkin about. JV is a special player. He's a good post player with moves. He just needs to shed some pounds to be faster." :nonono:

JV doesn't have any use in our system and will be blocking Poeltl's growth. He needs to go

not saying JV will for sure flourish outside of casey's system but not really the right comparison to make with "come hell or high water" bargnani or amir who had no legs by the end of his raptors days.

i think a closer comparison is to james johnson's case who also was in casey's doghouse, who also showed potential in bursts and who also was carrying extra pounds.

JV and CoJo for LMA works IMO. We don't save any money, but LMA may work better in Casey's ISO system. Plus he can leave next summer, freeing up tons of cash for Powell. MLSE just has to eat one year of tax.

Maybe Spurs can then stretch Parker and use Mills and Cojo as their PGs? Pops is also one of the few coaches that can turn JV into a beast. Put in a few coaching sessions with Tim Duncan too.

We use players that our narrative I guess lol

James Johnson was told by pat Riley if he didn't lose weight. He would be out of the league and lost and was productive in Miami. Nowhere near a star though. Just good rotation player on 41-41 team. If jv turns into a rotation player on under 500 team. Then awesome for him. But there is nothing to wallow about

JJ much more mature than he was in Toronto

I'd love to hear what this "interest" is. Is it interest like we get some draft picks or interest like we'll give you an old pile of crap player like Deng for him?! lol

Aldridge is the first guy I've seen who's unable to fit in the Spurs system. He's a hard headed iso-ball player. Then again, I guess that fits our style of play so we might as well go get guys who do it well.

Also, Paul Pierce hates him so we have that going for us.

GM's need to round out their rosters sooner or later. I'm sure one of JV/Carroll will be gone by the start of the season.

It's just that no one's looking for ancillary players at the moment. Most the big names are gone now, it wont be long.

Sucks that he wasn't traded years ago when his value was higher also really sucks that we strongly considered
drafting Kawahi but Colangelo couldn't resist his Euro fetish. I guess it could have been worse he could have drafted
Jan Vessley.

Jan Vesely is poised for an NBA return. However the hate online for the guy is as troubling as his shooting. I guess I it is 50-50.

You just listed 4 mediocre role players and made up a story about them being expected to become all-stars. Carry on...

The Raptors have a system? Oh right, that must be the one our GM completely trashed during his end of season press conference.

Of course he did proceed to keep the coach who's "system" he trashed.

Valanciunas has 0 BBall IQ and 0 mobility. Not to mention he's mediocre at his offesnive game and his defensive game (which has a lot to do with his mobilty).

Val needs to go

Return to Toronto Raptors
