Its booty season in Toronto otherwise no one really cares about being here. Not even Quentin Miller.

Yes he is putting in work...for his own brand.

Drake attaches himself to ANY big name in sports, any chance he can get. If we got all the players that he has hung out with or at least made himself be seen with we'd be the modern day Dream Team.

I'm guessing the only reason why this thread remains open is because of how slow the summer is on these boards relative to the season and of course for laughs. Plus we like to target SFs that had a single good season in their contract year to massively overpay, LeBron has had far too many proven seasons for us to go spending big money on.

Do we really need to trade away half the team to land LBJ next summer?

Wouldn't he be able to tell the Cavs he is going to sign with Toronto and you can either cooperate by taking back DeRozan or you can wait until the Raptors find a team willing to take DD into their cap space for a 2nd rounder?

I'd imagine Powell could take DD's spot and LBJ could play any spot he wanted. It might require some filler trades or the use of the TPE, but I'd imagine if LBJ wanted to play here with Lowry and the rest of the supporting cast (that plays D) then it could be made to happen.

Didn't Alonzo Mourning come to caribana once and he refused to play for the raps after being traded here?

Well I remember that year technically yes, Alonzo came to Caribana first to play in Vince Carter's charity game which kicked off Caribana weekend. When Zo got traded here, he was traded "for" Vince Carter...of course he didn't want to play here.

Also, as an aside, as I'm in my late 30s now and grew up in the VC era.. I remember VC had a charity game 4 summers in a row. I loved it (even though the games were not that fun to watch) because it was nice to get the NBA hype back during the dog days of summer and this was before we had social media. I remember VC had 4 charity games, then after he was traded, Steve Nash held a charity game here the year after and then we've never had one in TO since. Bosh never had the fan appeal VC/Nash had and I guess same goes with Kyle and DeMar.

Ah the good ol days. I was at the Nash charity game. I remember Joe Johnson and Andre Iguadala standing out.

Those vc charity games bring back memories. As much as I am indifferent to vc now, those charity games were vc lovefests.

My friend's stepdad sister's cousin is a bottle girl at lavelle and Lebron told her he wants no part of Toronto unless Casey gets a suit that fits on properly.

Why are people acting as if this is the first time he's been here for caribana ? Dude was here 2 years ago for drake's kickball game for charity around the same time smh also lebron is NOT coming here! These guys love visiting the the city but don't want to play here. This thread is a waste of time, Another KD is coming here false hope thread. These guys love setting themselves up for disappointment. LEBRON IS NOT COMING HERE!!!! He was also here in 2013 for caribana. Like I've said these guys love VISITING!!! The city but don't want to play here. I have no clue why people are acting as if drake is working on bringing dude here when he's been coming here around this time for years. DELUSIONAL HOPES, KD PIPE DREAMS ALL OVER AGAIN. Image Lebron here in 2015 around the same time for drake kickball game for charity.Image

Apparently the ULTIMATE TORONTO WEEKEND is going to 2 bars, playing a bit of basketball and going to a concert.
