The Celtics have a coach that knows how to manage rotations.

And they have a high IQ group of players that know how to switch, communicate on defense, and switch back on post entry passes in disadvantageous matchups.

You can't teach what they have on the court, no mini training camps or film studies will ever bridge the gap for DD or Ibaka defensively.

Its a talent issue and IQ is just much a part of the 'talent' equation as the physical component.

Maybe I missed something, why would Lebron go to the sixers? He can literally go to any team in the league..even the Warriors..Why swould he go to the sixers? You Just posted he has a starting lineup of Fultz and Reddick. This is the best case scenario so I hope he does....but why?

Our bench unit, for the few minutes they played against Cleveland, managed to be a net positive. A lot of their minutes were played directly against LeBron James; it was a deliberate tactic used by Lue because he feared the bench more than the starters. In addition, the starters were also a slight positive. The two most played lineups in the regular season were one of the few positive lineups against Cleveland.

Casey destroyed the chemistry of the team by experimenting on the fly and mix and matching lineups that have literally never played before. It was a disgraceful coaching performance on his part.

We would get swept by the Celtics. Lue ran circles around Casey. I shudder to think what Stevens would do to him.

Their players would also suffocate our soft ass fake all-stars with their intensity.

We would not need Casey to be good nearly as much for the celtics series. All the players had self belief that we should beat the celtics, they did not have hat with the cavs. We would not play soft against the celtics and the refs would not penalize us as much for playing them tough with Ticky tack fouls

My take is that we wouldn't get past Philly or Boston so it doesn't matter.

The defense and 3 point shooting of Boston would have been the difference.

Smh. I’m fine one more year new coach. But our window is closing or has closed already. This was the year. If we get embarrassed next year as well, finally Blow it up Masai

Or window has closed. It's time to rebuild now while the rest of the conference is competing.

Instead of a ‘culture reset’, when Casey continued to underperform in the playoffs, this should have been the year with a new coach, and either we made finals or if the results were the same, start the rebuild this year. We were one year too late.

Cavs lost Kyrie. Celtics lost Kyrie and Hayward. You can’t do it this year? The conference will be even better next year.

LeBron will put himself in a better position. I have a feeling PGeorge is gonna join him, or LBJ to Sixers. Look what Celtics are doing without Kyrie/Hayward. A new coach could do wonders for the Bucks. Pacers were better in post season than us. Sixers are improving and have a million assets to make trades and could land Kawhi. Celtics have assets to make trades and could land Kawhi.

Window has closed. You’re right. It was a fun run while it lasted. We’re done now.

Agreed but I was moreso saying having a strong starting lineup means a lot more than having a decent SL that's bolstered by a great bench.

Our issue has always resided in our SL.

It’s funny cause I think we would’ve beat Boston in a series but I still can’t see it with the cavs. Lebron with shooters is just the raps worst nightmare.

Celtics are as deep as us but not as good as us and the main thing is all the raptors had 100% confidence that they should not lose to the celtics, especially one of the main raptors in demar. He would not accept losing to the celtics but he sees Lebron in a different light and is flat out scared of the man. Demar is not scared of any other east team.

Then what everyone is saying reflects even more poorly on Ujiri. I genuinely believe that as well which is why I've been an advocate of shaking up our SL for years.

Delon/Fred and most of our bench players showed grit and a level of fight I have rarely seen from our SL. The issue resides in the SL and that's on Ujiri, not Casey first.

The Celtics are beating the Cavs on both ends of the court and possess more roster versatility, IQ, and physical talent to exploit the Cavs deficiencies.

The Celtics unlike the Raptors are going at the Cavs supporting cast and making them actually exert effort on everything they do. What Hoford/Smart type level defenders do we have?

Stays East. Finals every year. Chases rings until
He is 40 with Simmons and Embiid.

Where else would he go? **** Lakers? Old Cavs? Even Houston looks bad with their style and CPaul getting older. What if PG follows LeBron? Or the Sixers have assets to trade for Kawhi?

Trash them? lol this core has never trashed anyone. We always play below our competition. Every series we puff our chests like we are some big beast but most teams always push us to 6 or 7 or just outright sweep us. We aren't as good as we think.

Finished with this team. Owners think they can run the same dog and pony show by firing the coach and hiring some new stooge. Y'all been played.

On one hand, I will be eternally grateful to the Celtics if they beat the **** out of Lebron and the Cavaliers.

On the other hand, I will be eternally ashamed of this Raptors team if the Celtics beat the **** out of Lebron and the Cavaliers.

I only blame Ujiri for Ibaka and the ridiculous contract which could be due to the African connection but I credit Ujiri for bringing in Nick Nurse and developing our bench. I credit Ujiri the MOST for getting rid of Patterson( who was **** in his last year, Cory who does play with heart but lost his offense and Carroll which shows he can admit mistakes). We LEGIT had a great team this year. I think we MADE NBA HISTORY BY BEING THE ONLY TEAM WITH A 7.5 PT DIFFERENTIAL TO NOT MAKE THE CONFERENCE FINALS. That tells you something, i know playoffs are a different beast but for some asinine reason we tried to beat Miami that last game when we already locked up the second best record because damn Casey wanted 60 wins and freddie got hurt, anyways i can go on as i am quite frustrated that we are out, i'm still in shock given the team we had. Prior years we always had flat out SCRUBS, salmons, hansborough, scola, patterson(last year), landry fields. This year our biggest scrub was ibaka, that should tell you how good this team was....man I'm starting to get emotional ... definitely wasted year
