Still don’t understand how you aren’t ban yet..why are you always arguing about the team?

OG will need to show more consistency, but the kid has huge upside.. lets hope he gets there.

Tbh the starting lineup should be:

C Gasol
F Ibaka
F Siakam
G Lowry
G Vanvleet

1. People are scared of Ibaka at PF, but playing alongside Gasol is much much different than playing alongside Jonas. Gasol hangs out at the top of the key and the 3pt line, letting Ibaka eat down low. That s why it works so well in the playoffs.

2. The two small PGs are of course a concern defensively, but again, it worked well in the playoffs because it makes for .mismatches at the other end too.

3.when we get into trouble in matchups, we have all sorts of athletic versatile length off the bench in Johnson, OG, McCaw and Norm.

I am excited to see what a healthy (hopefully) OG will do with the starting SF spot this year. Spicy holds down PF, Kyle at PG, most likely Gasol still starts. Fred and Serge are solid off the bench.

Initial reaction to Norm starting is less than optimistic, but thought on it and found some positives.

He just turned 26 in May, 4 NBA seasons under his belt, 56 career playoff games played, decent 3-point shot + great at the FT line, low turnover stat, can play adequate if not decent defence when locked-in.

The runway really is clear of obstacles for him to take the starting SG spot and show his stuff. Norm will have Kyle and Gasol as quality play decision makers, so if he moves his backside and cuts / gets open he will get the ball. Same goes when Fred subs in, he will look for Norm if he works for the shot.

When the season starts, Norm will be 26, OG 22, and Pascal 25. Raps have top-shelf vets in Kyle and Gasol that can still get frisky and score big buckets. For me I am realizing that watching our youth play with the quality vets is something to invest in, and see what happens.

That's true....Ibaka may start but that takes away Pascal biggest advantage, his speed vs power forward

gasol is gonna start and nurse is going to unlock some more free-wheeling motion offense w/ kawhi gone.

I think Powell is ready for a bigger role. He had some bumps here and there but he was really good as a whole throughout the regular season and playoffs.

This is not true he is very stiff but he has actually made some smart reads when it comes to passes

Errone was hurt haha

you can make all the excuses you want, and you can also ignore that Raps won 4 straight against the healthy Bucks who had the MVP, COTY, EOTY...and beat the Sixers who had a starting lineup of 4 max players. I know you're real salty deep down

For a Bucks team who only had to stop Giannis and no one else. Duh. But when KD showed up, y'all scared. Then when he got injured, you guys relieved and cheered for his demise. Truth.

I'm happy for the Raps, fan since day 1. I knew what could have been the outcome if KD was healthy. Admit it.

Hey, Lil Romeo -

This is how I imagine you rolling into this thread.

I'd love to find another lights out 3 & D guy at the 2. Doesn't need to be a star. Seems like a trademark for a lot of successful teams

Raps have had some good ones w/ Doug Christie, Anthony Parker, T-Ross and Danny Green to name a few

Unless Norm can keep it up with his shooting

I suppose Powell is paid enough to be a starter. Gasol, SIakam, Anunoby, Powell, Lowry... not a great lineup, just have to hope that these guys step up a level.

Those boys need to get to work in the gym full tilt like Spicy P did last summer.

They need to take a big leap with bigger roles

It’s July 7. Why are people talking about our team as if it’s the final version!? OG and Norm May not be the starters by the time the season starts

Did the Raptors win a championship buddy? I thought they weren't a championship caliber team? dumbass

It's really worth going through the trainwreck that is the first 3 pages of his past posts for kicks. The guy has nothing good thing to say, predicted we lose pretty much every time he posted and is just generally all-around miserable. Pretty tough to be this wretched.
