Really love his effort level on defense. Smooth jumper and nice passing. He's gonna learn so much from Lowry/Vanfleet.

FVV - 22 y/o rookie
Siakam - 22 y/o rookie
TD - 22 y/o rookie
Powell - 22 y/o rookie
Flynn - 22 y/o rookie

interesting pattern...getting solid rotational players late in the draft because they're older

Masai snake-biten after the Bruno pick.

Even with a #1 overall pick...he probably prefers the 5 year college senior over the 19 year old.

Played well for sure. Really like his game.

Only concern is that out bench consists of 4/5 players who are pretty undersized when played together (Flynn, Thomas, Davis, Powell and sadly Mccaw).

We already have an undersized starting backcourt. Does anyone have concerns that we will be too undersized or have too few minutes for some of these guys?

Like a more defensive-minded, not as deadly shooting Steph. The way he moves is just so efficient. He just knows where to be at the right time and he moves with a purpose. Him and Thomas are going to be a deadly backcourt off the bench. They might have a little mini splash bros type chemistry this season.

Deadly shooting is pretty much what defines Steph Curry as a player lol

He looked better than Hayes, Ball, Anthony, etc.

Maledon was great tonight but Flynn looked like he'll be FVV 2.0 with a quicker release.

I want to trade Powell ASAP. Would like a 1st pick and expiring whatever.

Also don't want Oladipo any more as we have younger healthier options at SG.

Already looks like a 5 year vet.

He was born to be a Raptor in the Masai era.

This been long discussed. Masai is the master of the draft.
He started his own trend of “older” rookies.
If a 22 yr old can play then why not. Since when is 22 old? Even for NBA standards its very young.

Powell is our bench player by far. Trading him would hurt us for this season.

I wouldn't be so quick to trade him unless our plans are to not retain him next season. By that logic, Lowry seems like a guy to trade too. We've already made Ibaka expendable for the sake of this upcoming offseason so we'll see the approach our management takes.

After Araujo draft, I became really concerned about drafting older, ‘NBA ready’ players!

KG, Kobe, Tmac, etc are the ones that started the 20+ is too old myth. Because if they had potential they'd be dominating the NCAA at least. Ujiri realizes only 1% of the population is a Kobe, Tmac, etc.

There are some similarities with Steph out of Davidson minus the shooting accolades. Steph is Steph because of the shooting accolades, though.

If they went d1 they wouldve looked good but someone else may have looked better.

Just wary of short wingspan players and not many blocks.
