Wolves would have had to ask permission to talk to Finch, so assume Nurse agreed. He doesn't stand in the way of his assistants moving up. Should be some compensation coming from the Wolves to the Raptors.

That sucks but he’s not really home grown. We hired him this past offseason. We still got Griffin.

It’s a dead end job! If I’m an assistant who is competitive and wants to win, timberwolves is one of the last place I want to coach for, along with the Pistons, Cavs and Kings. Continual lottery team who can’t win even with THREE first overall picks in the last few years.....

A competitive and knowledgeable coach might view one of situations differently. Maybe they think they can change a ton schemes or whatever that might have a big influence with the results
