If GSW ends up getting the 4th/5th pick from Minny in this draft, I would likely do it even without Wiseman. Obviously if they threw him in, I'll be all over that lol.

We are already short on PF and C, talent wise, so who would be better at PF and C to trade Siakam for?
The shortage of PF and C are in high demand, trading Siakam means we are downgrading without replacement. I don't want to be Portland 2.0, treadmill with 40% spent at the Guard spots.

He isn't 32 either. The guy is just about to turn 27 and hit his prime. His best basketball is still yet to come. There's only 11 players hitting his bench marks of 20+pts, 7+reb, and 4.5+ast all of whom are on max deals except Luka and Randle.

We know that what his floor is and that is a high energy big that can get his own in the right matchups while contributing to all other facets of the game. An improving ball handler and facilitator who while has taken a step back on his 3pt jumper is converting at a career level on his mid range jumpers. Contrary to popular belief surrounding Pascal, you could do worse for his 34m salary.

That being said nobody is untouchable but we aren't just going to give him away for the sake of making a trade.

I would have traded him yesterday. His contract is ungodly for a guy who doesn't translate to wins like Lowry does for us.

His contract is prob the reason we couldn't keep Ibaka or Powell and won't be able to keep Lowry. And I believe we wouldn't have to take a bad contract back for him because of his potential. Please Masai! Trade Pascal!

So this trade would be after the draft.

I could only see them trading Wiseman, Wiggins, 2021 1st pick (GS) and future 1st pick.

I hate on Siakam because i want him to do better and expect more from him but I feel like we're not appreciating him. He needs help obviously but he's been making strides. He's a good 2nd or 3rd choice with a real first option. He plays on both ends and is versatile on defense.

Siakam would definitely command a lottery pick and probably 1-2 additional decent assets. Issue is we’d need to take back contracts and/or expiring deals in return.

I would keep him if we can somehow get 2-3 decent players to join us in the summer. Otherwise it might be best to trade him and go full blown rebuild mode.

Do the poll to see the numbers and percentage

I'd say, yes

So much overreaction.

A good playmaker creates shots for others. Siakam can make a dump off pass or hit the open corner shooter but he has a difficult time reading the defence when there’s not an easy pass. Rarely see him bait defenders and see plays before they develop that would be the making of a good playmaker. Him having the ball as much as he does will lead to 4-5 assists.

He’s not better than Tobias either..imagine Tobias Harris as a first option that’s what the raptors have going on.

An athletic big who can play elite D, guard all 5 positions and is a proven #2 option? No thanks, I keep him unless the offer is ridiculous

If they were going to trade him they should have traded him when he won Most Improved Player, that was the peak of his value. He needs to step it up for the remainder of this year and next year, then maybe trade him, but if he's improved then why trade him?

Pascal + filler (Lowry) for Simmons

Simmons and Embiid just do not fit together. Philly is worried about losing everything that Simmons brings (size, ball handling, D, play making, rebounding), but as long as he cannot shoot, he cannot win with Embiid.

Pascal is like a lesser version of Ben in all of those skill sets, with shooting. He would compliment Embiid a lot better, while the Sixers would not lose a lot of what Ben offers.

If they were to move Ben for Beal, they would be sacrificing too much on D.

For the Raptors, Ben is the #1 option they are missing. While he can't shoot, he can still drive the play, and get into the paint, creating open looks for the team's shooters. The Raptors are exactly the type of team that Ben should have built around him - 3 & D players (FVV, OG, GTJ). Plus, Ben at 24yrs old fits the age profile of the team now with OG, GTJ and Flynn, and FVV to a lesser extent.

After another early playoff exit, Ben will be on the trade market this summer.

I would too.

About time we got rid of the no talent waste of cap space.

People say Siakam’s best basketball is ahead of him, but said Norm wasn’t worth paying despite being the best scorer on the team.

If there’s a good deal, you make it.

At this point he is what he is. He tantalizes you with great games like Norm's last game, but too often his penetrating game takes too long and he doesn't finish strong at the end of it.

You can say he'd be fine if he was a #2 option, but when are we ever going to get a Kawhi ever again?
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

For the right offer, of course. He's turning 27 this week, and we are not going to be contending for a while.

Yeah the argument is that he "is a great second option". Problem is, we don't have a first option nor do I see a path to a first option.

Regardless, "Second options" are a bit easier to find. Even then, I can make an argument that is isn't really a second option.

No. Siakam is like Demar in that he always improves his game. I know everyone likes to crap on him, but I truly understand what it means to be displaced by COVID and it's no fun. I'd really like to see the Raps in the ACC and in their own homes and such.
I believe in Masai.
