Raptors still have a chance to get a good lottery pick.
Also, Lol, run for what? Try to get into playoffs and have no pick? What is our next year's goal? Draft undrafted rookie again and ... "Let's make a run for it...again"? :)

If you want to compete, you don't make a run for it this year

FiveThirtyEight has us finishing tied for 10th with Washington at 31-41.
i can't see the raps going 7-7 over the stretch, especially with players "resting."

raps will be lucky to win 3-4 games.

I could see us winning 5-6 games to close out the season, even though I only have 4 wins penciled in for us. Unfortunately we just won too many games over our last 10. If we had gone 4-6 instead of 6-4 we would have been in a prime position to hold our Top 10 pick. That win against Washington especially hurt our lottery stock.

The problem is that other teams are going to start tanking, resting players, shutting people down. Games that should be Ls could very well turn into Ws.

May 13th against the Bulls will be a must lose basketball game.

As it stands, I figure we'll end up somewhere 11-15 in the draft, which is a bad result after all the BS this season. But I'm still holding onto faith that we can go on a significant losing streak upcoming.

Imagine sneaking in via play-in only to get bounced by the Nets in 4 and hear the American analysts go on and on about how we never would have beaten GS with Durant. Then we get a crappier draft pick to go along with this.

Sounds nauseating. I hope we don't win another game this season.

Can you expand on your claim that we will get swept?

Is there a huge difference between Get sweep or lost in first Round in a close one to sixers? Do you think we can guard this year’ Embii? They get a better coach in doc river, they improved. We suppose to tank this season for the better future.

I hate to keep using lottery simulators as proof we should tank, but I keep running tankathon, and I keep getting the Raptors a top five pick. I just got the second pick on my first attempt. 2nd pick could get us a big man like Evan Mobley. We would then be going into next season with Mobley, Trent, Siakam, OG, Fred and Flynn. That's a pretty exciting young team to look forward to next season, and much more preferable than maybe getting to the next round of the playoffs, at best.

Don’t bother explaining bro. lol if these guys can’t support a push for the draft this late in the season (with a team that’s 10 games under .500 and with only 14 games of losing to endure) then they will never learn.

Lol, who cares if a bunch of nerds behind a computer support or don't support the tank. It's the Raptors management and players that matter. It's up to them what they want to do and no matter who you support it doesn't really matter.

I don’t know man, Malachi freakin Flynn is making a difference and he’s barely drafted in the first round. This team just knows how to maximize mediocre talent

I'm not gonna lie, I'm not looking forward to face the Celtics or Heat in the play in. If they do make it, I don't see them making any noise against the Nets or the Bucks, although they beat em twice this season, Philly is bad matchup with Embiid too...in other words, for me I'd rather miss the play-ins and take a pick thats in the 6-10 range.

I'm literally looking forward to all of them, and wouldn't be surprised to see us beat any of them. They all have significant flaws.

Imagine us just getting to the 7th seed before the play-in, and then the Nets not having one or more of their big three unavailable and beating them. Stranger things have happened.

Fml this isn't the year to compete. Pretty pathetic that the Raptors are tanking and still can't get a top pick. Just goes to show the talent disparity between teams. The NBA has produced a very poor product over the past few years and it shows.

On the other hand, Miami and Boston have both been playing better as of late and have a bit of an easier remaining schedule than Atlanta while Charlotte continues to fall further back without Ball+Hayward and may end up dropping as far as 9th. Assuming we keep winning and the Bulls keep losing, it will be a tight finish with us and the Wizards for 10th. If we make it though, the most likely scenario is IND/CHA at 8th/9th then ATL/BOS/MIA at 7th. I'd put my money on us beating IND/CHA then the loser of the 7/8 game as long as it's not BOS/MIA.

It will be a pretty telling sign that we're gunning for the play-in games if most of our top 5 are playing again on Saturday against the Knicks. NYK has won 8 straight and it would be easy to have multiple players sidelined with minor injuries/rest on the front side of a 3 games in 4 days stretch considering Lowry has missed 10 of our last 12 games, FVV missed 8 and Siakam+OG missed two straight games against Orlando and OKC last week plus each missed a game against CLE/NYK just days before.

At this point, since getting Birch and Gillespie, we look like a good team again. If healthy, we should be able to win more games than lose in our next 12. That might put us in a rather unique scenario where we need to beat the Pacers in back-to-back games (final season game and 9/10 play-in game) though.

not only that but the things he excelled at were the thingsss that our current guards aren't as good at consistentyl

Flynn's shooting off the dribble stats in college were way higher than FVV shooting 3pt off dribble.
Kyle is ok at it in transition, but not as proficient in the half court shooting 3s off the dribble.
Flynn also excelled in pick-and-roll which is one thing our team hasn't spammed enough the last couple years!

Not to mention being a defensive player of the **** year

Let's be real - KD now won't be the same as old KD, even if he does play.
