Off topic but I got a philly cheese steak from Milano's grill in Scarborough and it was really good. Also got a veal sandwich but I haven't eaten it yet

Sounds like Sam thinks he’s got a “real” contract not just a camp invite with a little guaranteed $’s!

Video starts before FA and it features the Sam, his wife and the host. It transitions into post Raptors agreement but it’s not clear how long after.

Takeaways:

1) The journey is the reward!
2) Sometimes you need to get kicked in the teeth to grow.
3) Understands and embraces the fact that the Raptors are Canada’s team not just Toronto’s (mentions Winnipeg, Ottawa and Calgary).
4) He mentioned that he had interest from 6-8 teams but that he only worked out for Boston and Toronto.
5) His talking about the ten hour drive from Wisconsin to Toronto to bring stuff and his dog doesn’t sound like he thinks this is just an extended paid tryout!

He’s supposed to act like he is getting one of those spots, and even if the Raps really want him to have it, they’re supposed to not publicly make that decision until the other camp invites are given fair opportunity, so either way probably nothing to read into.
