It should be a win, but the Blazers have beat the Nets, Wizards and Celtics while being undermanned in the last 2 weeks. Simons (27/3/7) and Nurkic (18/14/4) have been playing at a very high level in the last 10 games and CJ is off a minutes restriction now. Could end up being a high-scoring game, especially if some scrub like McLemore goes off.

That’s fair, also it’s our first game back after a long road trip and usually that first game could result in a slow start. Still expect it to be a win though. I’m not the only one, all the betting lines, espn power index, etc. If we lose it’ll be viewed as an upset.

Yeah ... that is not happening. I do foresee them finishing the regular season in the 7-10 rage though and have a shot at making the playoffs.

If we're healthy the rest of the way, I can definitely see it happening. We're 3 games out of 6th place with ~half a season to go. I think our objective should be to match up against the Bulls in the first round - that's likely the most favourable matchup for us.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Squad is good enough for an invite to the dance.

Ultimately, getting turned about at the door.

Do you think Masai and Bobby originally wanted Simons and then settled on Trent, on the Norm trade?

There is nothing wrong with being optimistic obviously, but I feel pretty confident that they will be play-in tournament bound. The team is so thin that Nurse is compelled to play 6-7 guys against playoff teams and VanVleet has come back down to earth. I could see Siakam be next in that regard. I thought they would be a .500 team before the season and feel the same now. The team is the youngest in the league. There is no shame being a play-in tournament team this year.

Need The Pecking Order to cooperate.

If that 4th quarter against the Wizards was any indication...

We're 8-4 in the last 12 since we've come back from H&S protocols. One bad loss to the Pistons and 3 close losses to top/hot teams in the league while we've also been missing multiple key players (Scottie+GTJ against Phoenix, GTJ+Birch against Miami, GTJ+Birch against Dallas). We have been playing a tight rotation and it's going to be tough to sustain high levels of play if our top guys are playing 40 MPG most nights, but being without GTJ recently is the main reason Siakam/FVV have been playing massive minutes. Before this recent stretch, FVV played 40+ minutes 7 times in 34 games and Siakam played 40+ minutes 4 times in 23 games. Otherwise, OG's and Scottie's minutes in the last ~10 games are right in line with their season average.

We've had one of the most difficult schedules so far (#5 SOS) and one of the easiest remaining schedules left (#22 SOS). Being 4 games out from 5th isn't an insurmountable gap.

You know you're old when you've watched fathers of current NBA players i.e. Sabonis.

Even then, Arvydas was washed after having already played mad minutes in Spain.

Was STILL a beast though in his limited minutes. A shame his prime was spent in Lithuania and Spain.
