My crazy proposal

Fournier, Walker, Rose, Gibson for Westbrook.

Knicks got out of the Fournier deal, getting back the shorter Westbrook contract. Lakers get shooting.

How desperate are the Lakers to make a move?

Lakers trade: Westbrook, Horton-Tucker, Monk
Sixers trade: Simmons, Harris

Lakers move Westbrook who isn’t working out and bring in two pieces that could actually play well with LeBron and AD. If anyone can bring out the best in Simmons it is going to be LeBron. Harris is overpaid but he is productive. Does this get the Lakers into the playoffs? Who knows, but they aren’t giving up picks and they are already committed financially to LeBron and AD for 1-3 years.

Sixers basically get something for nothing in Westbrook for Simmons. They don’t get any picks since Morey is unloading Harris’ contract and Westbrook only has 1 more year (player option) while Simmons and Harris have 3 and 2 years remaining, respectively. Westbrook gives the Sixers a dynamic backcourt player who might be more effective playing second fiddle to Embiid rather than being the third option on the Lakers.

Such a ridiculous suggestion

The Sixers could have Harden right now (or even pivot to Beal, Dame or a package of good players from ATL) but are going to take the worst contract in the league instead, come on bruh lol use your head

I think the Hawks were willing to trade John Collins+ for Simmons too.

It might make sense for the Sixers to sign Harden for free in the off-season and just unload Simmons for expirings + picks and use some of the picks to dump Harris. They’ll get Harden for one less year at less money too.

The Jazz were in on Eric Gordon, so that probably takes them out of the running.

I imagine the culture change from NOLA to Salt Lake City will be quite dramatic

At that price, NAW would’ve been the ideal move for us. Idc that he’s having a bad season. He’s 23 and would do well under our development. Would’ve been an ideal scorer off the bench

It would be pretty pathetic if we did nothing by the deadline. You have starters playing their butts off on heavy minutes, get them some god damn depth. This is not sustainable.

How so? The Utah NBA team is named "Jazz".

So clearly there's some lively, funky culture indigenous to the state. Why else would they be so named?
