In the Portland trade you'd get some coverage because Hart can be a weapon from 3 and also defend multiple positions. He was putting up 7 3PA/36 in Portland. OG was 6/36 this year.
There's a few reasons why this type of move would make sense for the Raptors:
1) Cost control of the top pick and Josh Hart (his next contract is unlikely to be worth as much as OG's next contract).
2) Removes Klutch leverage/shenanigans.
3) Gives more breathing space for Barnes to develop as a scorer, primary option defender.
4) Switches a position of surplus (wing/forward) and adds another ballhandler (saves Fred's legs).
The downside is that you remove OG's potential, which has a more predictability to it than a random lotto prospect that could easily be crap or a long-ass development curve. And also it's not like Josh Hart has been the healthiest or most consistent. He's just a solid winning player that has played for garbage teams, but will look great around better talent.
