Preferably neither but if I had to pick it would be Pascal.

At least we know that Scottie is staying.

Everyone else should be fair game.

Nets WILL get their haul, just depends from which team.

As someone who saw KD go down in Game 5 against the Raps, I beg to differ. Even in that game, he already had two fouls when he went down and the Raps were clearly targeting him. Durant will be able to shoot when he's in a retirement home, but three years after that injury he can no longer play defence. With Kyrie Irving, he and the Nets got blown out in 4 by the Celtics this spring. Only a team with a great defensive scheme/players can protect him.

I'm starting to wonder if the Nets priority is to get good young talent while reducing their tax burden. The team that can best help them in that regard should win the KD sweepstakes. If Raps can find a taker for Chris Boucher on a sign and trade, we CAN help them.

If Masai can get him for GTJ and OG then maybe, otherwise we can wait for the next opportunity and in the NBA there will always be another opportunity.

“We could use him” you say that like he’s some rotational piece. Make no mistake, you’re getting 4 years of a KD still very much in his prime. That’s a top 5 player in the league and hurdles you into championship contention territory.

Nothing. The guy has more raw talent than anyone in the game today but he’s not Kawhi. He’s not a guy who is going to put a team on his shoulders and drag them to a championship. I’d rather keep building this team from the ground up and see where Scottie ends up than take a risk on a guy who only had two rings because he played with Curry.

This idiot really suggested that we trade Barnes ALONG WITH 2 of Fred, OG and Siakam plus 5 or 6 pick swaps for Durant. This is the kind of trade that makes us totally irrelevant even with Durant and having to build from the ground up in the future. He goes on to call Durant an "unprecedented prize". At best he's marginally better than Kawhi. This has to be one of the worst articles/opinion pieces I've ever read.

KD career minutes played in RS and playoffs: 40,765

Players who have been a top-2 player in the Finals with that many career minutes:
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
Lebron James
/end list

KD may be a factor on a championship squad in 2023 or 2024 . . . but probably not

Doug still lives in 2015 and that makes his valuation / assessment accurate

If I'm Brooklyn, I'm hanging up if Scottie is not in the package i.e. I think the notion of getting KD w/o giving up Scottie is completely unrealistic.

Neither.

Scottie is the future and the whole point of getting KD now would be to pair with Pascal.

Unfortunately there’s likely no deal here to be had because I’m sorry for those who are just having day dreams of flipping OG & Gary but 2 high level role players won’t be enough for the Nets to sell their fans on.

Only way we get Durant is if we trade Siakam.

Both for salary and value for the Nets

You absolutely keep Scottie. Whoever voted to trade Scottie is crazy or a Nets fan lol.

You ideally like to keep Pascal as a great #2, but if giving him up means we give up less draft capital, it's worth considering. It all depends what the remainder of the trade package looks like. If it's Pascal + 3 FRPs + swaps then no thanks. Too rich.

Here is a more serious question: Which team is better? There is no question that Scottie is way better asset than OG, but OG fits better with KD and Pascal on offence and Defence.

Team A
Fred
KD
OG
Pascal
Precious

Team B
Fred
KD
Scottie
Pascal
Precious

Opportunities come along only once every few years

Scottie comes along once a decade, but what's his ceiling? Draymond light with no look passes and a post game? Contend now or shine for a decade?

I would trade OG and GTJ, especially now that we have OPJ.

OG/GTJ/Birch/Flynn/Svi

This is basically the Rudy Gay deal for Brooklyn.
I believe in Masai.

Scottie is just such a better person than Durant, cant do it.

It should be Drake for KD straight up in a star for star deal.

Both with lots of mileage, not as dominant as they were 5-7 years ago but probably still has one maybe two more great runs left in the tank barring something terrible.
