Siakim
FVV if Siakim starts out cold (the gap between the two isn’t as large as people seem to think)
Barnes - he’s very good, but he’ll need some experience before moving up the list

Pascal was all-NBA last year despite starting the season on the shelf (shoulder surgery), missing the first few weeks and taking a month or so to really get going on both ends.

Pascal's shooting should be MUCH better this season, having had the full summer to practice. He will be our best player, and an acknowledged top ten player in the league. Scottie needs another season of aggressively looking for (and making) his mid-range and outside shot. Patience.

Don't sleep on Precious. If he keeps shooting like he did the second half of last season, he may overtake Fred in 2023-2024.

Siakam is #1 right now, but I'm betting on Scottie to surpass him by the end of the year. I have high expectations for that young man. Most were sleeping on him last year, don't let it happen again...

Scottie would need to make an unprecedented leap in order to surpass Pascal as our best player. I think he realistically can be our 2nd best player at the end of the year though.

Siakam was playing at a superstar level in March and April (and games 4-6 against Philly). If he keeps up that level it’s gonna be him. Even if Scottie takes a leap it’s going to be really hard to improve to the level Siakam was playing at toward the end of last season.

The year after though?? Could be Siakam, could be Scottie.

The Raptors become a contender if/when Scottie is a better player than Siakam.

When will that be? I'm hoping for the spring of 2024, although 2025 and "never" are probably both more likely.

I don't put high odds on Scottie passing Siakam next year, bit IF Scottie earns the MIP in his second season, and becomes the best Raptor in 2023 without Siakam regressing, this franchise is set up for an epic run.

Siakam is just a tier above everyone else on the team right now. If Scottie surpasses him this year, I’ll cream my pants.

Yeah it's Siakam, Barnes has a higher chance of Surpassing Siakam in season 3 or 4 though.

I am loving the optimism on the 29 percent who chose Scottie. I would be so happy to be wrong about picking Pascal. Because if they are right and we have 2 top 15-20 guys, with our support players, we should be in the ECF.

Ya. There's no way I think he has a better season than Siakam next year, but I think the question is 'at the end of the season'. That's quite different right. Basically, that means if you think Barnes is a year away...well now your in that range.

Is Scottie going to have an All-NBA caliber 3rd season? Which is where he will start with respect to this question. Maybe?

Not that insane a question if you truely think Scottie is going to be a top 5 franchise guy (which many do).

This is true, and why I think we have a legitimate shot at the ECF (like 10% ish).

Hard to bet against Siakam now with the Rico hiring. Rico working with Siakam on a daily basis is going to unlock another level to Siakam's game.
