They scrimmage in Victoria this Friday: https://www.nba.com/raptors/news/raptors-announce-open-practice-in-victoria

Thanks. That's always a fun event with the guys getting a bit competitive but wanting real competition. It's the first bits of pre-season runs that we'll see aside from the post-practice interviews with guys getting up shots in the background

I managed to get awesome tickets for the family. Pretty stoked for the Friday scrimmage. Haven't seen the Raps in person since going to Finals games 3 & 4 during the championship run.
I ate myself out of the league cause I was fat and slow

OG is the best. Getting more loose on camera. Never thought I would see him be the type to give people a hard time - other than Serge.

OG has that star charisma.

We had the championship off-season which was super short. Then the bubble year. Quick turn around to last year. Plus Raps went out early. It is the longest off-season we have had since the Wiz swept us, I think.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Good points

I also think it was all the non-basketball stories that made it feel long. Things like Sarver and Udoka, and also the whole Durant / Irving storyline in Brooklyn. It all became tiresome for me.

Glad to have basketball starting up again

Yeah I want to see new Coach Rico Hines gather the guys around and tell them to play the right way, and respect the gym.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

High key hoping Scottie and team are healthy and in sync during playoffs and he ascends into superstar territory making it to ECF or beyond. Playoffs are where superstars are born and I think he has it.

I And-1'd but in reality I only really see Scottie ascending to that level (ECF or higher) by maybe his 4th-5th year. The East is going to be tough af to come out of for the next several years -- Tatum/Brown still young, Garland, Mitchell, Mobley still young, the Hawks are still young. It's not going to be easy to ascend over those guys and Giannis will be no walk in the park regardless of Jrue & Khris aging.

I love Pacal & has absolutely become much better than I ever anticipated but I STILL think the Raptors will need another true star player to really get them over the hump and the good thing is we know our management is always actively looking for ways to upgrade the roster so there's time (although I think a decision needs to be made on Gary asap but that's a different topic). Overall though, I just think we're still a good couple years or so off from Scottie reaching that high. I think he's going to have reach an arguable MVP candidate level player for us to get to that point & I obviously don't think that will be the case by next season. But give it some time and I think in a few years we'll make the serious push.

good news for the offence

let scottie and siakam run it more. FVV is the best catch and shoot 3 ball guy in the league next to Curry. It makes total sense.

It seems obvious so far that Juancho, Banton and Champagnie are making the team.

ya its fully guaranteed. by the sounds of it, they had to give it to him for him to join. sergio scariolo played a big part convicing him to join.

We aren't cutting the guy after just signing him to a guaranteed deal. Svi was signed last season and there was no use for him any longer.
