Raps trade: OG, Fred(opt-in), Gary(opt-in), Otto
Raps get: #3, Paul, Simons, Shamet
Cap neutral for us basically. Shamet curse is a blessing for us because it means we make the 2nd round lol.

Portland trades: Simons, Nurkic, #3
Portland gets: Ayton, OG, Otto
Blazers take on 17 million more than they send out but have that much in capspace so trade works.

Suns trade: Ayton, Paul, Shamet
Suns get: Fred, Gary, Nurkic
Fred and Gary agree to opt in and extend later. Trust will be a key here. Suns shed 15 million off the books for current year so I believe they will have room under the apron to use their taxpayer MLE.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

For Siakam Id be happy to do it. For OG I would pop champagne. This is a golden opportunity to take advantage of a desperate team and change course.

Nets might not have incentive but that's who Portland is going for. I think Nets will seriously consider trading Bridges if Scoot falls to 3. No chance in hell they trade him for Miller though.

I think people are out to lunch if they think Portland will be trading the third pick for OG lol.

Lol @ people assuming the Nets want to move Bridges after just obtaining him as the centrepiece for Durant.

If I was the Blazers, I’d takes Bridges over Siakam and OG any day of the week. However, I highly doubt the Nets would want to trade Bridges.

My post isn't about what the nets will do. It's about who Portland wants.

S&T Grant to us for OG+whatever salary is needed and then do a second deal: Siakam and 13 for Simons, Sharpe and 3 (salaries work for the Siakam deal). Maybe reroute 13 for a starting SG they need?

So essentially becomes OG, Siakam, 13 for Simons, Sharpe, Grant, 3?

Lillard, Thybulle/Reddish/13 trade, OG, Siakam, Nurkic

FVV/Simons/Barnes/Grant/Poeltl with Achiuwa, Sharpe, Miller/Scoot, Boucher off the bench.

It feels unrealistic and would clearly depend on Grant accepting the trade here which is a long shot. But I think both teams get better fits. Lillard gets the #2 and wing defenders he has needed, while the Raps get shooting and youth.

This actually makes a lot of sense for both sides and offsets Portland’s potential cap issues by flipping grant.

We should be able to get better value than that for siakam + OG + 13

Raps at least keep the 13 for the rebuild

Portland needs secondary creation from the wing position.

I love OG but he's literally one of the worst at creating in the league. If we do trade for the third pick, it'll be Siakam, not OG.

Do it for siakam. Anfernee simons pg of the future. Simons, Barnes plus 3 pick is a good core to build around. S and t fvv for whatever if possible.

You're assuming that they only have their sights set on one player which is short sighted. For sure they have a short list of guys they'd be targeting in such a deal.

Ya I don’t think that would be the final trade, but as a framework, I think it’s pretty good.

I'm not saying he is or isn't, but your speculation is as valid as anyone who's suggesting he could be on that list... It's not as if Simons straight up for OG is fair, but Simons & 3rd for OG & 13th is more than reasonable.

It isn't, especially if Scoot falls to 3 but we'll agree to disagree lol.

I actually think if anything, POR feels like they need more value, keeping in mind Siakam and OG will need to be paid and that their depth will be an issue.

I don't think the Raps need 13 if they pickup #3 and 2 young players while still having Barnes, Achiuwa and Koloko. That's 6 young guys right there.

Simons and 3 for OG and 13 feels like Raps get the better end of the deal here, as much as I love OG. I mean, getting a #3 pick in a 3 player draft is usually the price for a legit current all-star. Ray Allen got traded for #5.

Yes, but Ray Allen was also 32 when he got traded, and OG is 25.

When most teams miss on the draft, it usually just means they'll be picking at the top again and they have another shot. Nets would be crippled if Scoot busts and will just give up top picks to Houston for the next 4 years.
