Tanking doesn't sound as enticing this year because if we do end up with top 6 pick and retain it, and Masai fumbles on either OG/Pascal FA, then we will be a bottom 10 team next year again and still owe Spurs a top-6 protected FRP in 2025, a stronger draft than 2024.

Holy smokes, the Poeltl trade is an iron shackle on this franchise preventing the rebuild. It's not immediately noticeable that it's bad, but it's prolonging the treadmill status of our team.

The Poeltl trade, with its lack of protection, is the ultimate FU to TWO from MU

we can sell that idea of "poeltl as a starting center is worth more than a FRP" non-sense to other moron GMs out there and see who bites and give us back a pick. Seriously the FO defenders always come up with the lamest excuses.

Let's just reel off back to back top 4's Del. If anyone has enough faith for that, it's you, right?

It really was, it made me laugh at the time.

Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

That tank definitely needs Dennis on it for his performances, Jak for the way his trade has handcuffed the franchise, and naturally masai and bobby. They are the true commanders.

Seems you're finally seeing the light, albeit reluctantly. :-? ... but we're not tanking.

Besides the we're better off conveying our 2024 pick to SAS part, there's also the optics and ego part.

That is, if we tank & don't end up bottom-6 but still top 10, the bad trade is going to look even worse. On top of that, he's going to have to admit Nurse was right and it was a talent and roster problem, not a coaching problem, especially with Darko doing worse with essentially the same team.

So I see Masai continuing his push to make the play-in/playoffs. If we trade Pascal it won't be just for picks and filler but rather we'll get at least a starter coming back. Else Pascal stays. Either way, like last season, Masai will treadmill over tank.

A non-tank tank lol. Sad stuff. Just an awful organisation. We're going for 11th!

An unintentional tank in a weak draft where it'll be hard to keep our pick. What a confusing organization we've become

The Spurs are going to be a juggernaut soon. One top 5 pick this year, and a top 10 pick from us to go with:

Wembanyama C
Sochan PF
Keldon Johnson SF
Vassell SG

lmfao. Gonna buy at the deadline in a very tankable year with a generational prospect. Gonna tank (probably unintentionally) in a bad draft where we probably wont have our pick.

Bobby and/or Masai gotta go. This cant be allowed to happen without cost

Also, it wouldn't be easy. Washington, Detroit and San Antonio have the top 3 spots locked down. Portland is trying to get there. I think Ainge will sell off everything of value soon. Charlotte probably ends up down there too. No matter how hard they try, I think the Bulls and us end up in that 7-10 range.

Masai isn't about anything anymore, only thing he's got is a bunch of treadmills. Dude might as well be running a good life fitness.

Masai has become Colangelo. Both are/were full of it.

How the mighty have fallen.

Masai’s chip was Colangelo’s Atlantic division banner.

It's 2006 all over again. People want to go get the best player in a bad draft

I'll pass thanks.

I'm on team tank and Del wants to compete, what has become of the world. That's what I want to know.

I mean, it's not like they're blatantly tanking for the 2024 draft. This team is trying to win, and that's the sad part.

If we actually resolve some of our problems, like add shooting or trade pieces that don't fit. We probably get better.

But that would take Masai being capable of trading OG or Siakam. Im not sure he is

I'm sure they have a plan, I just can't see how coherent it is. The lack of shooting added over the offseason was a giant red flag to me.
