Its not pretentious. Pizza in italy is on another level....largely because of fresh ingredients. We cant even get proper cheese around here at a reasonable cost due to ridiculously high cheese import taxes (something like 200% when I last looked it up unless you import by the truckload).

Toronto's pizza game has improved compared to what it was a decade ago. Of the places I've tried....I'm a fan of North of Brooklyn, Descendants and Pizzeria Delfina. I will never go to Baldiali's because I would never lineup for food like I'm homeless.

In the suburbs, Red Swan is surprisingly good/different.

For fast food: Pizzaville, Dominoes and Little Ceasars are good.

For restaurants: Terroni's, Superpoint etc.

Also, OP's pizza looks gross...

Everybody is losing their freaking minds. Nutbars and wingnuts have infested this forum. We've become a public lavatory without cleaning staff.

Pizza Pizza
If you tell them exactly how you want it, they do a solid job.

Their ingredients are fresh too, lots of places lean towards canned toppings to save money and prevent spoiling.

Good post. The people who got offended by my post are probably inhaling pizza pizza on the regular and think it's good food. Hopeless humans.

Anything at Sorbillo in Naples, but particularly the prosciutto and arugula. Pretentiousness aside (although it really is the best pizza in the world) I find it hard to pay premium prices for pizza in Toronto because it's just not that great in comparison.

So I got for utility. $18 4 topping XL pizza at Pizza pizza, make it a Canadian with added green peppers or roma tomatoes, extra sauce on the bottom, chili peppers, and extra well done. For about $20, it's hard to get a better pizza deal.

Right, because there's clearly no spectrum between Pizza Pizza and the best pizza in the world.

Keep doubling down on your pretentiousness.

I was in rome this summer, their Pizza is actually pretty sh*t to in most spots where tourists go.

That's the case with most tourist spots everywhere in the world -- garbage food at terrible prices.

I'm sure there's very good pizza in non-touristy parts of Rome. I'm also sure there's very good pizza outside of Italy.

Yup. Just saying there is terrible pizza in italy as well. Takes effort to find a good spot, just like here or anywhere else. No different.

Definitely. Rome especially since it's such a HUGE tourist trap. I did enjoy walking the side streets though away from the main attractions and finding an awesome pasta place that was doing plates of fresh white truffle pasta for something like $20 CAD each. That was one of my fav eating experiences in Italy (this was prob like 8 years ago now though).

Maker is pretty solid. My sister be getting it on the regular for family pizza nights.
Some of these fancier places be charging close to $40, $50 for pizza though by the time you're out the door, and I find that's just not worth it.

Is this related to the 3 game win streak free pizza thing?

Also, La Pizza and Pasta in Oshawa makes a mean braised beef pizza. Regino’s also in Durham also has some good halal pepperoni

There are a few downtown spots but the above two win for me.

Best halal pizza I've had is Pizza Shab probably. If anyone has recommendations, I'd love em!
