I actually don't think his scoring will go up by that much. I do think with more touches he will get more assists. I don't see his efficiency changing much either. I'll go with 16.5/7.5/7.3/1.1/0.9 on 47/30/78.

Real stats: 18.8/8.2/6.1/1.3/1.5 on 47.5/34.1/78
Barnes scored a bit more and assisted a bit less than I expected, and his blocks were a nice surprise. Of course his hot 3pt shooting to start was unexpected by most, but has since cooled - if he kept playing the rest of the season I think the 3p% would've continued to go down. I think I was pretty close on this prediction other than the 3p% and blocks. A lot obviously changed with the trading of OG and Siakam.

Averaged 19.9. 20 before the injury last game.

There is no incentive (other than revenue) to be trying to win games, it's favorable for everyone including the coaches. You can add 2 first round talents instead of just 1.

What do you propose they do? Sit IQ and RJ and piss off the player and their agents (especially in IQ's case)? You think those guys are on board with not playing so they can draft some 20-year old kid?

The offense coming around isn't too surprising. The question everyone should be asking is do you see him as a starter? Scottie/RJ/IQ/Dick as 4 man unit is not strong defensively nor is it strong in shot creation. So, is his impact coming off the bench good enough? Jury is out. Team needs to upgrade elsewhere then and that leaves the C position.

Uhh where did I say we should bench IQ and RJ?

We should replace Trent Jr with Gradey. It would likely make our starting unit better than what it currently is.

To be even more clear this is what I'm proposing:

Poeltl - Olynyk
Agbaji - Porter
Barrett - Nwora
Dick - Trent
IQ - JFL

He could easily be 5th on that list if he continues this.

Only being a set shooter would set his ceiling as a solid starter. Being able to hit shots as a movement shooter - that's near all-star potential. Would love Darko to run Rip movement anytime Dick is on the court. Defenses have scouted his shooting ability and it's opened up his driving game too lately.

Correct. So how is that consistent with tanking?

Good to see "10" and "Dick" in the same tweet.

But seriously, folks. 2nd team All-Rookie is in the cards here. Can't wait until next year's Rising Stars competition. Or 3-point shooting competition.

It makes the bench worse

If he closes the season strong and finishes close to 50/40/90 splits, it would be hard to keep him off.

Probably most here who follow the draft closely just assumed Dick would go #11. I certainly did.

Before the season started I predicted Dick being a 9 ppg guy which is basically what he has recently been and may end up by the end of the year.

The aspect of Keyonte's game that I didn't foresee was his passing because it was very poor at Baylor and he looked like a completely different player by summer league. Maybe it was one of the criticisms about his game a lot of teams had and he just busted his ass in short order and put it together. It's actually remarkable how it went from a major weakness to a major strength on film.

Prior to witnessing good facilitating and better ball protection he was flat for me as a prospect, just a guy who would likely be a good volume 3 point shooter who can get to the rim a fair deal while not really contributing much in the way of rebounding, passing or defense. The fact he is now looking like an excellent passer completely changes the outlook.
