Fears. The way he gets to the rim is drool worthy. And it'll work in NBA. Give him a reliable pull up 3 and respectable D and he can easily get multiple allstars

Assuming Tre is off the board...
Queen/Kon/Fears
Offensive creation ability should be the primary focus this draft; our need for a big makes DQ a two birds, one stone kind of pick. With that said, it's looking like Queen will be there at #9, but if Maluach is still on the board than we're 100% taking him.

Maluach is probably the prospect with the largest variance in the draft. He could be a bust easily, but he could also be the best player in the draft five years from now. Depends on his work ethic, but I’ve heard he is extremely bright.
Bryant also has a high ceiling. Most have him as the prototypical wing defender. His floor should be a Herb Jones level defender, but he’s so young so hard to cap his potential.
Coward is also intriguing.
Those are my top three as of now. I trust they’ll make the right choice.

Could only fit 9 and other. CMB was a contender for 9, but honestly, such a terrible fit for this team.
Why is Queen there then? CMB is better than Queen at everything that Queen does well so he's a better fit than him.
Queen is usually projected to be drafted right around #9 so not putting him here wouldn't make sense...
I say he is a really bad fit for the raps because CMB can't shoot. Many think Queen will develop a 3pt shot. But if you like CMB I can't fault you, he looks like a very interesting prospect and Masai has never shied away from bad shooters. That's what the "other" is for...
I actually had a list of 16 possible picks that I was going to feed in but it would only let me pick 10. That's why I mentioned in OP that 5-20 could have an argument. I've seen CMB as high as 10 and as low as 20.

He's young and big with a high BPM. Raptors had a need for a big when Poeltl was injured or off the floor. Many assume he will be a good defender at least.
It's only when you take a deeper dive that you find his predictive numbers are terrible and his bpm is inflated by the team he's on.
I think he will be a really poor defender as a rookie and needs massive strides to be a good nba player.

I watched alot of college ball and do have a pretty strong opinion on these players. That being said whoever Masai picks is probably the right guy.
At #9 I like Essengue, Maluach, Raynaud, Coward.
At #39 or a trade up into mid to late 1st I like Kalkbrenner, Niko Avdalas (who probably is going to withdraw) and Jamir Watkins.

I doubt Bailey and Fears will be there, pretty much a 6 or 7 strong class with Flagg being a tier above.
Highest potential: CMB (but his weakness is so hard to ignore)
Likely option at guard who fits: Jakucionis
Likely option at forward who fits: Bryant
Likely option at centre who fits: Queen
Most likely option: we trade the pick

If we do draft him, will you rename to wegotmaluach?

It's because of that 90s bigmen win champions mentality

Re: Who do you want the raps to pick (of possibly available)?
If Ace falls, you have to take him.
If Jakucionias is still there, he should be hard to pass on.
If you don't take Jak then I'm probably going to grab Fleming or move down in the draft. Maybe you can get Fleming later (#13?) and pick up some other assets on the way down.
Do not fall in love with Maluach
Do not fall in love with CMB
Do not fall in love with Essengue
Do not fall in love with Bryant. You can probably get Coward later who does all of the same things but better.
If we could walk away with Fleming, Coward and Proctor from this draft, that's a major home run.

Barring no trades wouldn't be surprised with a off the board BPA type like CMB/Fleming/Clifford/Coward while using the 39th to get a big like Zikarsky/Raynaud

Kon can realistically fall and we should draft him.
