Keeping Eason and Smith Jr. is a big W. Brooks gets replaced by KD. Green has neutral value at best and that's only because of "potential", likely negative value though with his play and contract now. Playing their young players instead of him likely yields better results anyways. Basically it's just the 10th pick and they're already stocked with young players that need more mins so it doesn't hurt much. The 5 SRP's are basically irrelevant.

Quality of second rounders since would rather stay in college and earn more + improving their draft stock to become 1st rounders in the future

All things considered, it's not a bad haul for the Suns. They didn't want him anymore, and he didn't want to be there. Brooks is a legit player, and let's see what the Suns get for moving Green. They need to nail #10 though.

Would've loved to see KD here, but just never made sense.

i think it makes 2nd rounders less of a gamble as there will be more upperclassmen. teams will have a bigger body of work and will be able to get guys that can help much sooner.

Kids are staying in school for a few million rather than entering the draft early if they're a projected SRP, so the talent pool depth is much worse than it used to be in the second round.

That really makes no sense.

That would impact maybe 2 drafts until it becomes the norm and all those guys come out after their senior year 2 years later (and tbh - most 2nd rounders are older players already anyway). It has already normalized.

NIL has 0 impact.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

So it impacts maybe 1 or 2 drafts until all those guys come out.

It really makes no difference. If anything, over time it would lead to more data on players being available and increasing the value.

Again, that makes no sense.

At most all this means is guys come out 2 years later. But they still have to eventually come out.
