You don't know what you got till its gone
A lot of these newer fans have no idea what it was like in the before times
They're gonna find out...

Re: Masai Appreciation Thread
Masai the real GROAT.
Reading soo many posters here complain about Masai.. calling for him to be fired... for the past few years has been ridiculous. Well, you all got your wish. Hope you all enjoy Peddie 2.0.
I put this firing squarely on the shoulders of 25% RealGM Posters... no one will convince me otherwise.
F#k.

Re: Masai Appreciation Thread
By far the best management the team has ever had, and very likely ever will have.

Thank you Masai and thank you Tim L for setting it all up. We had visionary leaders that weren't afraid and they did what no one else has done in Canada in the past 30 years.

Re: Masai Appreciation Thread
Masai Ujiri not only led this team to a championship, he also TWICE came within a coin flip of establishing a true dynasty.
Yes both times the coin came up tails, but how many execs are even ever in that position?
So many posters on this board have always had a sickeningly short-sighted and selfish sense of entitlement, not understanding that winning is a rare luxury and lots of losing is necessary and inevitable for every team. We played and won more playoff games than any other team over a whole decade under Masai's leadership and STILL we heard endless griping and second-guessing from jealous sucks who refused to understand that you can do a whole lot of stuff right and still fail again and again in sports.
Masai should have a statue out front right next to Kyle's. Punkass Rogers will never give him one. But he should. He's got one in my mind and always will.
A great leader, a great person, and a great executive. Three cheers for Masai Ujiri!

Re: Masai Appreciation Thread
Will be rooting for whichever team signs him.
Can’t wait to see him work his magic and lead another team to a title.
Masai was a mastermind, a genius that was well-renowned across the league.
He’s done so much for this city, this country, and the game of basketball as a whole.
Masai is one of one.
We were truly lucky to have him.
And now we’re truly f***ed to not have him.
Screw Pelley. Screw Rogers. May they rot.
