Rico posts his runs many weeks sometimes a couple months after the runs happen. This happened in August. David Roddy posted his highlights of this run on his IG page in August so I was just awaiting for Rico to post them on YouTube

Damn, Gradey falling over and getting blown by at Rico too :(

At bare minimum Gradey needs to be a neutral to slight positive BPM player this year. He doesn't look like he's added to his game at all. We might have been spoiled by DeRozan. DD was always adding a new part to his game each year.

It's kind of crazy I think Furphy might end up being better than Dick. He seems to be more physical and gritty than Gradey.

I wanted us to draft Furphy over Mogbo. I was surprised he slid that far. He's more of a set shooter, like Battle. Not nearly the same kind of value to a team.

Demar at 22 scored 16.7 points and shot 42% from the field. Dick is still 21 for another month and a half.

I'm expecting big things and big improvements from all our young players this year. Like OKC in 2023 but with the potential to go further because of a weaker east

I hope so as well, and not trying to put too much stock into 1st preseason game, but I really only liked what I saw from RJ and Ingram out of the starters first game. Scottie needs to be agressive getting inside and not shoot because he hasn't for a while that are shots that aren't going to be high percentage for him. I hope he hasn't stagnated, because if he has, he will be a bad contract. Needs to be a bully. Also, wouldn't mind some two man game between him and Ingram with Ingram as ball handler.

Scottie legit needs to bounce back. IQ looks stronger and committed to D, RJ came locked in, CMB came locked in. Scottie isn't entitled to be the face of this team anymore, he needs to step up because his job is in question this season for the first time in his career. One preseason game isn't the evaluation, he's on a trend of coasting, and he needs to buck it.

Remember when Pre-season legend Svi Mykhailiu was going to be a legit rotation player?

yeah pre-season don't mean ****

Full vid shows Gradey getting cooked on the defensive end.
Just look at the first possession in this clip - how do you get cooked by David fkin Roddy?

I'm losing hope in Gradey fast.

Not sure what Darko was talking about when he said Gradey got bigger & stronger. He looks the same.

It bothers me to no end how easily he gets beat by his man. His defense just looks lazy. Reaching.......not moving his feet.

My 13 year old son has better defensive fundamentals.

He is definitely not my type of player.

That's a big problem with tanking teams. It's a culture killer & a motivation killer. Guys get gifted tons of minutes & eventually feel they are deserving of them. Someone also gets gifted the "franchise player" label, even if they don't deserve it. Bad work habits develop. Bad attitudes develop.

I have no doubt that Scottie will & turn things around & help us win some games. There will be a stretch of games where he will impress the hell out of us. He is showing up kinda soft so far though. We may not see the more competitive Scottie until the regular season starts. Psychologically, he reminds me of a mix of Dwight Howard (too easy going sometimes) & Demarcus Cousins (emotional/ loses focus).

I really like Scottie as a player, but he is definitely not the Demar or Pascal type who hyperfocus on improving year after year & adding skill. Demar, Kyle & Pascal all got the most out of their size/ athleticism/ potential. Scottie always looks like he is coasting........not living up to his potential.

Honestly, I just don't see what some see in Gradey. Even if he realized his potential offensively, I don't see an All Star talent, and he'll most likely give up whatever he scores on the defensive end. I won't bet against Gradey, but I'm currently higher on Ja'kobe as a prospect.

I'd be cool with Gradey's defensive struggles if he was a sharpshooter (i.e., shot above 40% from behind the arc) like Duncan Robinson, but he's not. He's a 35% shooter from three so he's pretty useless right now.

Plus......there is his draft position. How many shooters exist in the league who were 2nd rounders or even undrafted that shoot the ball way better than he does. If you draft a shooter, the one thing you expect them to do at an elite level is shoot. It's understandable if the defense or ballhandling is a work in progress. It was a crap draft unfortunately.

Ya thats why I hate on Dick too. Most of his flaws could be fixed if he showed some heart and willingness to throw his body around. I hate soft/afraid of contact players who arent willing to leave it on the floor.

Jack Armstrong always says "are you the hammer or the nail"... Dick is ALWAYS the nail defensively and on the boards.

DeRozan also made leaps and strides which Gradey hasn't.
