Or Santi Aldama, but I doubt it.

I think I’d rather trade for JJJ than Ja.

As would I but I'm not sure how available he is.

Either way, I'd do a deal for Lamelo or stand pat. I don't like Ja's archetype (small guard that can't shoot and relies on athleticism) and Lamelo solves a ton of issues for us.

Yeah if we make a trade like the one i made you deff need to find a big man...I think getting Jerome for his shooting would be huge for us if we are taking Morant and giving up IQ....I think Jerome scoring off the bench and 3 pt shooting would be a big get...

At that point we roll with

Morant/Shead
Barrett/Jerome/Walter
Ingram/Battle
Barnes/Mamu
Yak/CMB

I think that team has alot more upside long term if Yaks back ever recovers and Morant change of scenary brings out the old star he had in him....But lots of ifs as well in that scenario.

Not saying Jake isn't credible. But he's been recycling the same headline for the past year.... Meanwhile, no other credible reporter has echoed his words.
He knows where the clicks and engagement lies, and at the same time he's trying to grow his brand so I can understand his approach.

And id rather trade for Jokic but things dont work like that.

I also would prefer Lamelo but there seems to be 0 reason why the Hornets would be in any rush to trade him. They've been playing good basketball lately and he seems to have been a good teammate even during the times hes gotten benched. Its not like we'd be trading anything that would make the Hornets feel they need to move off Lamelo.

(2027 Pick swap added in there as well)

I'd do this.
Ty is also one of the best bench players in the league. Swapping Ochai/Gradey with him is a MASSIVE upgrade.

Funny how a guy who has been right so often still gets people to say this sort of stuff.

He reports on every discussion he hears... that doesnt mean every discussion turns into an actual trade. He is a level lower than Shams/Woj who typically only reported on concrete moves or moves on the verge of happening.

https://bealestreetbears.com/espn-reporter-hints-potential-jaren-jackson-jr-problem-grizzlies

"Their actions are telling you that they are determined to rebuild the Grizzlies, I would say, around Jaren Jackson Jr.," MacMahon said. There's a lot of discussion around the league wondering if that is mutual, I would say."

A lot of discussion around the league? Once this type of thing starts it does not usually end with the player staying with the team.

Turn the headline around and it's common sense.

Raps want to improve but won't move Barnes or BI.

Shocking

Is tonight the start of holding guys out to avoid a trade limiting injury?

They seem to be more and more comfortable with putting Shead and Martin on the floor.

Yep.

People were in denial when he said Raptors were going with Scottie with the 4th pick. People were in denial when he said OG and his team wanted to be in a bigger market.

Fischer is the most accurate I've seen when it comes to Raptors intel

Trading them now makes no sense as the market is bad. Just watch how little value trae, ja and AD have on the market. Our guys wont fetch more. The offseason is different.

I have no problem putting anyone on the market and will judge any deal when it's actually made - I am only expecting a deal to get under the tax but maybe the FO is more desperate.

Ya, Ochai should be traded to duck the tax. Make a run with this group and make trades in the summer when they have 1 less year on their (Poeltl, IQ) contracts.

Just curious how Lamelo solves a ton of issues for us? He's awful defensively, he's played 58% of his teams games since he was drafted, He's a better playmaker than Quick but he also turns the ball over more than double what IQ does 3.8 to 1.8 (That's two lost possessions a game) so some of that value is negated, I don't see how he could better improve team chemistry over Quick. I'm all for upgrading from Quick but Ball ain't it. Am I missing something?
